Does anyone have any experience with this one? I look forward to reshooting some old favorites of mine with it.

Hello, I have a Sigma 14-24 0n my A7111, just acquired both in the past month. Took some shots
in HHI before the rest of my friends came in. That is Hilton Head S.C.. I wanted to compare past
photo shots taken with A6000 using Sony 10-18 lense. have not down loaded yet.

I have it on my Nikon D750. Love it. I've been using it for milky way photos.

I purchase this lens for my D7100 to photograph the aurora on a trip to Fairbanks a couple years ago. Great performance.

Its sharper than the canon 16-35L. I love it. Tack sharp and versatile. Yeah, a little heavy. Great stars from corner to corner with beautiful color.
Have mime for 6D. Enjoy

I mainly use my Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 art on a D850 for landscapes / cityscapes / seascapes. It has performed very well for me, but as others have mentioned, it is a bulky, heavy piece of glass with a protruding front lens, so you can't directly use filters. If you plan on hiking with it, you might want to consider the 12-24mm f/4 version.

Oh come now. It's like Wonder Bread if you hike with it - it builds strong bodies 12 ways.

Got one a decade ago. I like the performance of the lens but I don't like the convenience of the lens. It's bulky and doesn't fit in my bag. I would place it among my least-used lenses. It does a great job on landscapes but the landscapes I take are mostly static and since it's not in my bag I stitch with my 24-70. Stitching works fine for static scenes but if the scene is dynamic, the 14-24 is called for.

Used it for a wedding breakfast in tight quarters and it did well. You do have to pay attention to perspective problems. If you aim the lens up or down you get perspective distortion (which is correctible in Photoshop). The lens does not produce significantly curved grid lines unless you are off-perpendicular to the surface. I would not say this is a problem with this lens, but with pretty much any ultrawide angle lens.

If you got one ten years ago it's not the same lens the OP is talking about . He's talking about the latest version which is a Sigma "Art" series lens...they are each among the sharpest lenses in their class. It is still big and heavy though.

I read a review by Dustin Abbott and he says the Canon version works with their in camera distortion correction.

Sorry, you're right. I didn't read carefully enough. I just got back from cataract surgery and don't have reading glasses yet so I better be more careful about what I see on my screen.

No big deal.

Good luck with your new eyes. I got mine done about 4 years ago and my vision is 20-20 in both eyes for distance. I was pretty much legally blind before the surgery and had to go to AF for photography and had to stop playing golf. No fun when you're topping the ball and hitting grounders. I plan to start playing again next month.

Of course I do need readers so I usually keep at least two pair handy.

Right eye got done last week. Works great. Left eye was better so I expect great things. Takes a day or two to settle in.

My wife uses readers so I can "borrow" hers.

Thank you all for your insight! I'm taking a day trip this weekend and I cannot wait to use it.
