Does anyone know the cause of this apparently common problem? Cheap rubber, hot sun, old age? You would think a big name, big bucks, like Nikon would go with full metal.

Thanks to John F's posting I learned of Hawk Ridge. I planned to go to Jay Cooke State Park and added Hawk Ridge to the trip. The count at noon was low due to fog. It was foggy when we first arrived but that cleared shorty after our arrival. Temperature was in the 50s.

Count 12noon 9/16

Excellent shots -#1 is amazing - over the course of decades, I lived around Loons on several lakes in various states. Never could get closer than 30 or 40 yards before they dove & re emerged at considerable distance. The detail shown in #3 is super.

#1 was taken with a Canon PowershotSX280 HS. The other two with Fuji X-T2

They swim up to my wife within 5 feet very often. Sometimes three at a time. She swims early in the morning. This is a small lake with no gas powered boats allowed. You do not see the loons when it gets busy on hot summer weekends.

Iknow it's just me. but I have a bias against " creamy" water, in that it doesnt look like water. I prefer a little detail in falls so a 1 or 2 nd filter is more than enough. BTW don't forget a really good tripod. And perhaps a gimbal head

I also don't like the over done creamy look. It is one of those things I have a strong dislike for just like over done HDR.

It is may and most people have lots of flowers, not so many around here. So, we still have rocks and trees on a nice day.

You appear to have fantastic colors and details hiding in the shadows. Why wait 'til later?

Or convert the unedited raw to jpg and post to PP Forum. We have the time

Why later?-:-Honeydo list
