I worked with someone who was totally indecisive. Four of us on a business trip had a three hour layover and went to the main restaurant at O'Hare airport. John asked the waiter to compare the first two items on the menu. He wanted to know why the waiter preferred it in detail. Then he asked him to compare that one to the third item on the menu. And on and on. He still hadn't finished when it was time to go to the gate. Nobody ate and the waiter was out three hours worth of tips, except that the other three of us left something.
When he remodeled his kitchen countertops he had the sample chips for over two years. The remodeler asked for them back, but John kept saying he was still deciding. For all I know, he is still deciding 30-some years later.

I think the dead branches in the upper left and right should be removed to let the tree stand out better. Those dead branches pull the eye from the subject. I would also saturate the leaves, especially the closest ones, just a bit ... but only just a little bit.

I live just outside Portland, and I agree with the person who recommends autumn. Winters here are an almost constant rain and hiking isn't much fun ... the dampness makes the cold go through you even if the temperature doesn't sound bad. Summer is problematic due to crowds, and some high spots, like Multnomah Falls, require a reservation to stop there.

The Sony goes a just little wider, but at wide angles a little an make a big difference. At the long end the difference between 200 and 250 equivalent isn't that great. The faster lens in the Sony would be the real tie-breaker to me, especially when shooting in low light.

I've done most of these Christmas markets. I fund that nicest shots are at night, so take a reasonably fast zoom. Wide, at least 24 seems best with long end not as important. The wide scenes with lights are great, and getting close-ups is better by being physically close rather than using long reach telephoto. If you are shopping check to be sure you are getting local stuff rather than made in China ... some stands just sell mass produced Chinese products that look like they are by local artisans

My Dad has the dubious distinction of having totaled a Duesenberg. As he put it, "The good news is that it wasn't mine."

On your drop sensor camera the 55-210 will take you long enough with its 315 equivalent. If you add a lens you might get a wider one, albeit your RX100vii gets you down to 24mm but with a smaller sensor.

With an adapter your current Canon lenses will work very well on a Sony body. So, with the Sony body you can either stay with your lenses or make the switch over time as good price-oriented opportunities arrive. I went Sony several years ago and still use some of my Canon lenses

You will want the 14mm for interior castle and cathedral shots. The total is not too much to take4 because you can pack a smaller camera bag that will only hold what you need on a given day. You daily excursion itinerary will enable you to plan each day.

#2 could be straightened by a clockwise rotation, and either stepping back before the shot or cropping the bottom instead of the top in the viewfinder might have included the cut-off spire. #4 would include more on the right if you did not frame it as you did ... if you want to frame it on the print add the frame outside the shot by making the canvas (not the photo) size larger in your processing. This will add some border and you can place any frame option you want in there. For #1 I concur with the other advice you got. By the way, your eye for taking photos seems to be excellent.

They are not all from the same law firm. It's lawyers competing against lawyers for their shares of the spoils. When a class action starts many other lawyers join the fray and add their clients. Many of the ads even say you will be represented by someone other than the advertiser, but the advertiser will get his/her cut.

On Canon the crop factor is 1.6, not 1.5. That little difference means you are taking the equivalent of a 29 - 432mm zoom. That is more than long enough. Based on my several trips to Europe (I too had family living there) you will want something wider, especially in many of the old cathedrals and other buildings and maybe for family group shots. Look for a used inexpensive prime of about 14mm or 16mm (22 and 26mm equivalent on Canon). Or, if you find a good deal, get a wide zoom that goes from 14 or 16 to 24 or 35mm for more versatility in those buildings.. Even the small numerical difference between 26 and 29 equivalence makes a large angular difference in wide angle. And remember, what you spend on a extra used lens now an be recovered if you sell it when you get back.
