hello, i'm recently retired and getting back into wildlife photography. birds, mammals and such. what do you all think about the d750, afs 80-400 g, latest addition, and a tc 1.4 iii? thanks for your help. by the way, i plan on visiting this site daily.

The 80-400 is a good lens but a tc will not work with it. The 200-500 is a good lens probably my next.

Nice download, Morris, and think this may be the best way to view them!

Thanks, Swamp-Cork Was about 4 feet away. I think they got a Beekeeper to come get them as killing them is illegal.

This is the oldest of my three Rescues, Noodles. She's about three years old and I've had her since she was small enough for me to hold in the palm of my hand.

She had somehow found her way into my garage where she had been living. She made her way out one morning as I was enjoying my morning coffee. She was so little that I actually thought she was a rat. After a couple of days she let me pet her and, on the third morning, she jumped up on the little ledge where I had sat my coffee and made herself at home to it. I opened the front door, she strutted in, and the rest is history.

I only have one more cat to try to photograph and then I promise to give y'all a break on the cat photos, lol. Thanks for the look.
This is the oldest of my three Rescues, Noodles. S... (show quote)

How did she acquire the name "Noodles"?

Taken with Nikon D70 with 24-120mm 3.5-5.6 lens
Oak Alley trees are about 400 years old and the House is about 200 years old. There are 28 Live Oak Trees equally spaced.
Pic 1 is from the Levee to the house
pic 2 is from the house to the Levee
pic 3 is Live Oak gone to ground
pic 4 & 5 I don't know what kind of flower
Walls in the house are 2 foot plus thick plastered on both sides and filled with a mixture of gumbo and straw. The inside temperature is 20 degrees cooler than outside.
Katrina blew 3-4 shingles (slate) off the roof. There was no other damage from the Hurricane.
A magnificent place to visit.

I took these somewhere in Tuscany, but I'm not exactly sure where. Anyhow, there are beautiful doorways all over the place there. Hope you enjoy.

The textures in both photos are superb. Very fine!!

I really like Cooper in sepia. It has a timelessness to it.

I brought up the Woody and the food white on the right with all the black on the left and the colors of the woody really stand out.
My computer does a magnification of the download. Very nice

Hopefully this one is downloadable. Instead of cropping out the small branch, I went the other way, gaining more of my dad's green canoe. I broke my heart trying to crop that canoe out. Thanks all for your feedback, this is such a great forum!

I dumped my pix from the camera to the computer and while looking thru the pix, I see the attached pic.
Its shot at F7.1 , 1/30 sec, ISO-160 at 75 mm

I have no idea what it is, or how I took it , I guess I must have hit the shutter as I was moving the camera.
I was going to delete it, but the more I look at it, the more I like it.

Where were you when you took it? Do you have some more pics from the same time?
