Jim - really great work! ππ
I don't have the skill (nor the patience) for composites,
but appreciate your imagination and mastery of composite creation.
Very well done...

Thank you! I was amazed by the difference in the quality of the potatoes. I think many that we buy at retail have been in the supply chain too long. It is inexpensive and worthwhile to order some potato varieties - recommend Wood Prairie Farm in Maine.
We will have to try ordering some, thanks for the tip!
That steak is cooked just how I like it, yum!
The entire meal looks scrumptious.
Re growing your own potatoes. π₯π₯
Last year we had some potatoes that went "bad" quickly, eyes were popping out everywhere. Rather than toss them into the compost, I decided to cut the taters into pieces, each with an "eye", and planted them in our raised bed where the dirt is looser than our hard, crappy, San Diego soil. Several months later we had a crop of delicious potatoes.
Hubby agreed the homegrown crop was well worth the effort (there really was very little effort involved).
Plus, they are fun to grow and the squirrels don't eat them, although I did catch some rats on our outdoor
yard-cam digging some up - that is how we knew they were ready to harvest! LOL

BTW Irene, where in San Diego are you located?
We live near SDSU, but far enough away that the college kids don't live/rent in our neighborhood.
I didn't notice you lived in San Diego; where are you located?
Those pancakes look perfectly cooked and with the fruit and juice, it all makes for a very nice photo!
How do you get the pancakes so evenly browned?
And may I assume that is real maple syrup being poured over?
I prefer the original - great capture!
It holds my interest longer than the cropped version; I don't find it too busy.
Both are really well done.
Looks like a very nice celebration - Happy New Year!
