Did ya ever just stop and wonder what all an old oak tree has been through, thoughtout the years it stood there growing bigger and bigger........ All the twists n turns it makes to make up its beauty to show the world. Even a tree that has died can still stand pretty strong for some time for us to view its masterpiece of creation.

Here are just a few of my favorites I have came across.

Wish I could catch this one in a sunrise...or learn to fake it. So far refusing to go down but will someday warm my hearth.

It was the worst fire in Colorado and life does comes back slowly. Thanks for asking

The post-fire picture was taken in color. The burned forest
was in the Yuba river canyon, west slope Sierras 2 years ago.

There is a power plant 100 yds to the left.

When was the last time you saw one of these in the daytime.

Beware of nocturnal animals in the daytime. It sometimes
indicates rabies. 'Possums, contrary to popular belief,
are not major carriers because their body temperature
does not support the bacteria as well.

This was taken by a friend as I am in the photo. One of
my many horses "Sunny". Also one of the best jobs
I ever had in law enforcement. My avatar

Tracy, you must be a country girl. City folk don't know what that means.

You find this rest stop (?) on a remote country road
near your home. No great shakes as a snapshot but
a very unusual subject. I guess someone has a real
sense of humor

You must be a redneck if........

They sure do. I don't know if they eat them or just kill them, but in a generally rattlesnake infected area I have
never seen one on my own property due to many turkeys.

I have many turkeys here but have still been unsuccesful in catching that irridescence like you did. Good shot. I'm glad to have them around.....no rattlesnakes.

I posted this once before but it's most appropiate here. Taken through my kitchen window, Sierra foothills.

I was a motor cop a long time ago. Great assignment but not as good as being a mounted cop (hence my avatar) This photo is
what you didn't want to see in your rear view mirror.

I don't know how I managed to post this twice. Sorry

What to you folks think of the Harley? three wheeler monster I see sometime on the road (and I am not speaking of a side-car)

No pic. sorry

They are ultra expensive and I don't like the stability (or lack thereof)
The CanAm is more stable with 2 wheels wide in front and 2 wheels narrow in back. Both are good for some disabled folks.

I was a motorcycle cop many years ago. One of the best assignments in my career except as a mounted officer.

Sotheby's just auctioned a photo for $4.3 mil. A very simple picture of the Rhine river. I can't post it here but
you can Google it. I think if someone here posted it the
critique would be "You need to a bit more imaginative"
