To bad you couldn't get a better shot of the A-H 3000 Mk III. Is that green one an orig A-H 100-4? I was always a big A-H fan, though I never had one; but I did have a Triumph TR-4A IRS w/ overdrive.

Great photos.

Like several others I would look at PS Elements. There are a ton of tutorials available on UTube that are excellent and its functions represent the vast majority of those available in PS should you decide to transition; however, many users have found that Elements was sufficient to their needs.

I find that a photography forum has descended into a highly charged political discussion about the relative merits/sins of a country (Cuba) and a system of governance (C*******m being misidentified as Socialism) with a total disregard for civility; everyone is talking but no one is listening. I am seeing damning comments (such as above "standard Liberal Democrat fare") that are going to do nothing to reduce the heat being generated.
As a country the US is in serious danger of fracturing along ideological lines into group that cannot bury their prejudices sufficiently to cooperate in the accomplishment of any joint project. I mean we should be able to discuss photography without all this name calling; it is simply a possible trip to another country it is not an acknowledgement of the correctness or wrongness of a political system. It is possible to look at the current governance or historic record of all the countries on earth to find actions that are totally objectionable; to paraphrase an old saying, no one craps ice cream.

Greatly enjoying your posting of the photos you are taking in Patagonia, certainly a most beautiful region. While all of these are truly outstanding I find the fourth one to be near breathtaking.

I feel reasonably certain that many have had this occur...........

For my most recent backpack bag I went to Amazon Basics. I have been extremely pleased with it and found it to be of exceptional quality.

You are so right about any complications. This was taken last year. My son and I were spending the day skiing and I looked over as we were on the lift and pulled out my cell phone. I got it just right at the right time. That moment would have been lost if it were not for my cell phone.

That is a fantastic photograph.

I too have fond memories of my Dad's range finder Petri 1.9, my first 35 mm slide experience back in the 50's. It was a great little camera and served me well up until I got my first SLR (Nikon F) in the mid 70's. There was a lot to be said about the experience of working with pre DSLR cameras and they were a great training ground. After all, composition is composition whatever the recording medium.

A couple months ago there was a discussion on the site about telephone photography (such a rare subject, ha) wherein someone discussed a phone app called FV5. I downloaded the app (even got the pro version that had to be paid for, few bucks) which claimed to provide the controls of a DSLR to your phone and provide a DNG (raw) file. As of this point I am still experimenting with the app; however, it does provide additional controls and does yield a DNG file. At a minimum I am finding that the DNG file provides much better data for post processing.
Using a cell phone should not be a negative in that it has gotten more people involved in capturing images and it is certainly not necessary that every image must be printed or enlarged to cover a wall. I am finding that I use a combination of my DSLR (Nikon D610) or my Samsung Galaxy 7, depending on the circumstances. On a recent trip to the BVI's I chose to use the Galaxy due to the limitations of luggage for travel and storage space on the sailboat we were chartering. Could I have gotten better photos with my DLR, possibly; however, for the most part I was satisfied with the quality of photos and I was able to do some good post processing of the images.
So, as upset as I get with the constant rudeness of the masses continually shoving their cell phones in front of my lens, I do not view their activity as being less than my attempts to work with my DSLR. Hey folks, we are all simply attempting to capture a memory.

Outstanding image, composition, and technique. I think your isolation to the individual dancer is a great approach as I find in my shots I love to concentrate on a single subject, far greater detail and impact.

Beautiful photos, you certainly capture the spirit of the dog.
My last German Shepard was 53 years ago; however, to this day when I think of "my dog", I think of Chris.

Without red on the belly, wouldn't that be the female gender?

It is my understanding that the red completely across the top of the head indicates a male.
