thank you - not the first time you have helped this newbie! Thank you - and when I know how to get it and i will take that advice!
how do you go about using the IRFAN view - do you download it to your pc?
i never heard of tht - but as far as where i view - it is on a pc and i usually edit with lightroom
i see that - but is there a way to get that info elsewhere - like on my pc is there someway i can get all those details - i used "properties" before but only gives liimited detail
i am a beginner and agree - it is very helpful to see that info - if the person is willing to share, that is certainly appreciated.
wow, those are amazing pictures! someday...
those are all really great shots and fun!
thats an amazing picture!
i can attest to that - what a wonderful, helpful and friendly forum for both beginners and professionals - i like to call myself a professional amateur or amateur professional - this forum is so educational just to read and try to learn from it!
thanks ronald - i am going to get this down one way or another - yes, it was plenty bright and the fstop was f5 so i will try a similar set up again - think that was one of the problems and as jim mentioned i also was using a focal point that was for a very narrow depth of field so the two things together - i have much experimenting to do this weekend and lots to keep trying to learn - thanks for the encouragement!
the smallest fstop i have on any of my lens is 2.8 - so i will try doing as you say - i just never heard of setting the lens to infinity before - but dont usually put the lens on manual either.
thank you - i am buying that book this week - for sure. I have read several books and each one has helped me in different areas, but i think the more i read the better off i will be. thanks for the tip!
thank you - very helpful to know! i am printing all this good info out and making a notebook for myself to focus on
thank you - that is interesting that those fstops are the best - will try to keep that in mind--and i have also read somewhere that 50 mm is the best most accurate focal pt where you will get the "truest" shot of a person or thing - do you think that is correct?
