I have been viewing transition glasses ad on TV. I was wondering if perhaps this technic could be incorporated into camera lens. Could save a bunch of money --maybe not.

Good to see so many Brothers in Arms.

You know Bob, This is one reason I like Hedgehog. You get to meet so many wonderful folks as well as seeing so many good photo's and also learning how to shoot better. Now ever once in a while we might stray. Have you noticed that there is always someone to bring us back to center --so to speak. I was no hero during WW2 but I am proud that I did my job that they gave me. Be ninety soon and I realize that there are not many of us left from that era. Boy did we do a hell of a job. I just finished a book entailed "Decision in Normandy" by Carlo D'Este. Everyone is concerned about our future with ISIS etc. and should read this book. With all the mistakes our leaders made and with all the indecisions one might wonder why we are not all speaking German or Italian. Point is---- Must we make the same mistakes again. Sorry for the "old farts" ramble. Yes, all in all,we did a hell of job and I am very proud of country and soldiers.

This will probably go way over every body's head bloke. Us trombone players can do it in 7 positions. Heh! Heh! Now go practice on your horn and forget that the Brits lost it all.

Well bloke, I don't think this is for Brits and especially Trombone players. Just kidding. We have something in common. I am a trombone player. It would seem that I am the oldest Vet here. I served in 44-46. WW2. My prayer for this country is that we have not served in vain since all we fought for seems to be going down the drain. We seem to be sliding around (like a trombone player) not knowing what to do about anything.

Would appreciate advise on purchasing a flash unit for my SX 50 camera. I have viewed the 270ex 2 but I am not sure that this is the way to go. Thanks for your thoughts.

Xti is a great camera. My first Rebel. While it is aged it will product some great images. Make sure the sensor is clean. The Xti will support the EF lenses and EFs which are dedicated to the crop sensor cameras. The Tamron in an EF mount for Canon and will work on EOS bodies, which the Xti is.

Good shooting the Xti has a crop factor of 1.6 thus making the Tamron a reach of 960.

Have been thinking about purchasing a tamron 150-600 lens and pairing it with this camera. Camera is in good condition although it has taken many pictures. I know that when you specify canon mount when ordering that most canons will support said lenses. Since the xti is quite old perhaps not true in this case. What say you?
