I will be photographing this year's Wings Over Houston. I intend to use my Nikon 200-500mm on a Nikon D850 for stills. I am also interested in video. I have a second D850 body, but I don't have another 200-500 lens. I know I can switch from video to photo and back, but I'm thinking I may benefit from the second body. I am contemplating which lens to use for video.

I have 24-70, 105 prime, 70-200, 2x teleconverter, as well as the 200-500. For those of you who have shot this event, would you be comfortable with the one body? It would mean switching back and forth between video and photo.

I went camping with my son over the Labor Day weekend at one of the most remote places in New Mexico - the Bisti Badlands. We hiked several miles and took lots of pictures. I had wanted to do some Milky Way photography, but alas, I had brought the wrong Arca plate for the tripod I had and could not get my camera to properly mount (dumb mistake). I did manage one shot while I held the camera on the tripod by hand and did some light painting. Our night hiking was also interesting when we discovered there were a couple of Bobcats stalking us. (We stayed close and made lots of noise, but it was still a rather unsettling experience.

I also made a new friend, Lyle from Colorado, after I helped him out with TWO flat tires (I also had a flat the day before and was myself running on a spare). He was the only other person out there camping in the same general area. Let's just say it was a memorable weekend.
