With the forecast originally calling for heavy rain and possible closure of the trail, we chanced it anyway and were delighted with blue skies and warm weather. This is a favorite hike and going early is the best option.

It is a one mile climb and you gain an elevation of 1000 feet . I have done it and it is worth the effort .

Beautiful. This area was threatened by fire a couple of years ago. Nice to see it still looks great.
