Beautiful shot. That one is definitely worthy of posting. Perhaps even on your wall. Wish that was my backyard!

Thanks Marty, I only have a two year lease but that's better than nothing.

I think this ones post worthy. I took this yesterday at 1:39 AM when I expected the moon to rise in my back yard. Usually nothing exciting is going on but every so often nature cooperates.
Nikon D850, reallyrightstuff tripod, f/4 20 second exposure, ISO 3200 Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 AI

I watched this Steve Perry YouTube video where he took two photos and used his thumb to block out the sun on the second. Then in PP he combined the two shots using layers and carefully cloned out a few stray spots.

"Dime store picture postcard" Just because you can't do it does not diminish those who can and do well at it in color.
Practice and you might actually get good at it.

Either use a 10-20mm f3.5 or 24-70mm f2.8 depending on the situation for the majority of sunrises and sunsets and BTW landscapes in general. Occasionally I'll use the 70-200mm f2.8.

ooo the 10-20mm sounds great! I need to research that lens.. I have the other lenses.

Can these flashes be used with a nikon D7100?

Yes with excellent effect. You can use the built in flash to trigger the other two to really enhance any scene including outdoor shots.

It would depend on the fore ground and the extent of sky detail - I think 24mm and 105 to be good options ....on full frame.

I like the 14-24 f/2.8 for the most part. Sometimes, I see a silhouette opportunity I want to use a 300mm f/2.8 for compression.

I am considering buying another 14-24 there’s something about the perspective that just works for me in a verity of situations. I really need to buy another 300 2.8
