Thanks so much for the images and the clear explanation. It also explains why I am not an astrophotographer!! Keep up the wonderful work! Thanks again,

Been using Wasabi batteries and chargers for over 6 years now on two different brands of cameras. One of the oldest started to swell and I put in the local recycling bin for batteries at Lowes. Others working great. I do recommend that the batteries be manufactured in Japan rather than China. They can be assembled in other countries but the cells themselves should be from Japan. One of the OEMs began losing it's charge and also recycled. They do have a limited life.
Good luck,
Bob

My uncle bought a brand new 1956 Chevy 4 door sedan during that
summer. At his summer cottage, he used it for a couple of weeks, never having to use (automatic) reverse. First time he did, the tranny jammed up solid! The dealer found a loose bolt inside the tranny, which kicked up in reverse. Luckily, easily fixed and he drove the car for several years thereafter. I was a teenager and he wouldn't let me drive it, but it seemed quite fast for my senior uncle to accelerating!!! It was a snazzy car in turquoise and white!!

Love your great images of my teenage dream cars! Thanks for sharing

Grew up 10 blocks north of the stadium..... Always a Yankee fan!!! Used to sneak in an old battery operated tube portable radio to hear the series while in school! Had half an set of earphones under my shirt at the shoulder for private listening and reporting scores to friends. Wish I had a ride in that taxi!!! Thanks for sharing.

I have donated my old film equipment to a school in southeast Florida. If you are in that region, I will be happy to provide the contact info.
Sorry to hear of your health issues. Lucky for me it was more of a downsizing at retirement that forced me out of my darkroom. To tell the truth, the computer is easier to start, interrupt and restart than those old familiar chemicals. And no temperature control!!
Stay safe,
Bob

Never saw one of those in my 80 years. I can see how it is a conversion on a model similar to one in my family after the War. My Mom had a '37 ('38?) Dodge Business coupe. No back seat, so the trunk was hughe. There was a spare tire behind the driver and a door behind the passenger seat. If my Mom went shopping and I stayed in the car, I sometimes crawled into the trunk to surprise her when she returned.
Thanks for the very interesting pic.

Doc, I'd like to believe that Nature evolved each creature to fill a specific nitch, and thus, there is a purpose for all. However, I do believe that there are exceptions and for the life of me, I have yet to understand what purpose a chigger has other than to torment mankind.

There must be something that eats chiggers....

I tried one of those body caps with a hole in in on a Pentax K3. It worked but not as well as I would have like. It does a have a piece of glass to keep dust out. I might put an extension tube on it and see if that helps. Thanks for re-stimulating my interest in pinhole cameras.

Thanks, TreborLow. The camera gear and how it functions are quite predictable and repeatable. That part is more of a mechanical process. Illumination, however, is far different and it appears to be more of an art than a science and because the camera functions by processing the light that strikes its sensor and getting it right have possibly sent many folks to the insane asylum and I thought about checking myself in many times.

Well, I am a retired Psych prof (but not clinical), let me know if I can be of assistance! I am still playing with mechanical macro drives and working on a more stable platform. It must be very compact and storable because we downsized and I lost a lot of space.
Much fun with all the challenges....keeps me off the streets and (more or less) out of trouble!

Stay safe,
Bob (Trebor is my negative name....)

My mom had a ‘37 Dodge after the war when I was a kid. Like the one in the picture it was the Business Coupe. My best memory was when she returned one day and reported that a policeman jumped on her running board and said, “Follow that car!” Most cars already lost the running boards. Unfortunately, she did not catch anyone, but I thought she was a hero!
Thanks for the memories…. Happy New Year!
