Some 1937-38 cars from the "godan1 Collection". Plus 2 from 1936.
I have enjoyed your wonderful series of auto pics. Well done! I remember quite a few of these from my youth. Thanks for the memories.
My mom had a ‘37 Dodge after the war when I was a kid. Like the one in the picture it was the Business Coupe. My best memory was when she returned one day and reported that a policeman jumped on her running board and said, “Follow that car!” Most cars already lost the running boards. Unfortunately, she did not catch anyone, but I thought she was a hero!
Thanks for the memories…. Happy New Year!

The 36 Plymouth nor the 37 DeSoto we had when I was a kid never looked as good as the last two images but they got us where we were going.I remember to only long trip we made in the 36 Plymouth going from St.Louis to Ft.Wayne In. it seemed like it took forever I vaugely remember staying in a motel , but I don't know where, I think the year was 1947 or 48.
Dad bought the car in 1940 they newest car Dad & Mom owned until after I was married and Mom bought a new 64 or 65 Renault, Dad was not a happy camper
.
Very enjoyable shots! Thanks.
It's a wonder there wasn't a divorce after a stunt like that Renault!
Beautiful!
When I was a kid, my family had a 1938 Old convertible with a rumble seat. My grandfather had a 1937 four-door LaSalle, which I eventually inherited. That was quite a car.
I look forward to to the '39s tomorrow. All grilles going low instead of tall. The '39 Ford grille was a work of art.
That La Salle stole my heart....what a classy car that one was.
Thank you KT and Happy New Year sir.
