Nikon D850 Update

Hello,

We thank you for interest in the Nikon D850 and for signing up for us to notify you when the D850 is back in stock at B&H.

Yesterday, due to a system error, we inadvertently sent you an email that wrongly stated that the camera has been discontinued. The Nikon D850 camera is not discontinued. The camera is still in production and B&H expects to continue to receive shipments from Nikon.

We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused you.

Your name remains on our ‘notify list’ and we will let you know when the D850 is back in stock.

Thank you very much for your business.

Sincerely,

Rose B.

Nikon D850 Update br br Hello, br br We thank yo... (show quote)

Just so you know I originally ordered the D850 from Adorama and B&H at the same time because the camera was on back order. I was getting the same emails for three months, On back order will notify when available to ship. I then ordered again, this time from Nikon. A month later I received my camera and was still on the waiting list from the other vendors.

You answered my question in a round about way. And yes, I want to improve that is why I have taken 2 classes this year with 2 different pros. The questions was simply is it bad to still take a photo even if I know it does not have all the elements. Just take a photo because I like it, it will remind me of a moment and even share it knowing it is not award winning.

That's a silly question. Who cares when and where and how you take your images....
Now if it's too much of a hassle to get up early in the morning to chase the better light and images, it doesn't make you a bad photographer, just one that's not committed enough to do what it takes. Is it a hobby or a passion? If it's a passion, then doing what over it takes is easy. If just a hobby, then keep it that way and shoot when convenient.

Sounds like you were given good sound advice. You did take the class to improve, correct?? If you want accolades just post your images here. If you want to improve take more classes and find photographers you aspire to be like. I much rather hang out with better photographers than myself, nothing learned otherwise. I remember the first bird images I took, they were all sitting perched on a branch. Next I had to capture the birds in flight. Next I had to capture them landing with talons out. Then came the good morning light, combined with good background and so it continues. A good photographer might get a dozen Great shots in a years time. Right place, right time, perfect lighting for the scene, subject engaged in sometime interesting. You've chosen wildlife which demands a lot from an individual to get a great shot. Are you up to the challenge???
A side note, I went to Costa Rice for 3 weeks in April and for several days chased the Quetzal around in hopes of a great image. I got Lots of OK images but only one good image, but no Great images. But that's ok, I learned a lot and I'm still up to the challenge when I return. Next time I'll spend four or five days chasing the bird and hope for the best..

The new Portrait Bokeh feature is OK more like a blur tool but works much better than the blur lens or blur effect already offered in the software. Works best if background is already in focus. You get better effects with lights in the background. Most of my portraits already have a blurred background so not much help with them. Will be in NYC all next week shooting portraits of my grand daughter and her best friend in the city, so will give it a real test when I get home. Luminar really does a Great job in removing blemishes and leaving the texture of the skin. Also great for getting true skin colors when working under difficult lighting conditions. I absolutely hate learning new software, but Luminar has been a breeze so far.... I work with ON1Raw but found a simple way to send over to Luminar and then back when finished.

I shoot wildlife and own the D7200. I purchased the D500 for wildlife but returned before the 30 day period was up. Way too much noise in low light situations. In my opinion the best possible light for wildlife is morning light which is a low light scenario. Yes the D500 captures more frames per second, but if the image sucks, it sucks... You can't go wrong with either camera, just learn and shoot around their shortcomings. I now use the D850 with battery pack to keep my frame rate up. If you're all about low light shooting, then a full frame is the better choice if you can afford.

How like you on the Left to blame Conservatives/Trump supporters when it is the v***s mutating that is the problem. Surely you can be a man, try it for once, and admit b****s and Hispanics are a major group not being v******ted. Then admit that b****s and Hispanics are a major part of the, pay attention now, wouldn’t want you to miss this relevant point, DEMOCRATIC Party, your party. So now who you gonna blame? Hell man, don’t let common sense get in the way of a good old fashioned Left Wing lynching.

If every black and brown person v**ed democratic you good old white boys wouldn't stand a chance, so don't assume they are all democrats. Next if you look at the mention analysis the trend is now showing more black and hispanic getting a v*****e than white folk.
So I thought we were blaming the Mexicans coming over the boarder, or is it the black and hispanics or is it just everyone that doesn't agree with Trump???

Oh it's laughable alright, but not like you think. I think the poor guy at the end that pulled the plug had the right ideal. Life was staring to get back to normal, now we are headed back where we started thanks to Trump and Blind followers. Is there even a Republican Party left???

Well, well, well isn't this interesting. B****s and Hispanics are the most reluctant to get the v*****e and most of them are not Republicans. And I don't remember Trump letting hundreds of thousands cross our border during the p******c. Let's deal with facts here and stop blaming Republicans for every ill of this country.

You have to read the entire article..... The trend is white folks slowing down on v******tions while all other races increasing
