I see no one else is responding and I'm sorry but I just don't know. I wish I could help but its outside my expertise.
OOOPPPs for some reason one of the images did not get posted. Here they both are.
I posted this the other night, just about when The Oscars were starting, silly me. Maybe I can get some traction this time. At any rate, what do you think?
I have been playing around in my basement tabletop "studio" and the other night I broke out the ETTL flash, just to see what would happen. You will see that the first image is OK, but the second is much better--truer to the actual bell in color.
Both images were shot at .8 second, f16, 100 ISO, I used my EOS 6D. Also the bell was set on a pedestal inside a light tent. The lights outside the tent were 2 CFLs at 5500K, 2 LEDs at 5500K, and a light shining through the top. The only difference is the flash set on ETTL on the second, so I do not know what setting it used. It is a Yongnuo EX565.
What I do not understand is why is the second one so much "warmer" than the other. I would have thought the flash would wash out, or over expose, the bell, but it appears that just the opposite happened.
What's up with that?
Thx, olc

I take a lot of pictures, some are OK, but most are throw aways. Then I heard about this Photo-a-Day project and decided to give it a shot. What the heck, maybe I could learn something and just play a bunch more with the camera. Right now, I am in the middle of cataloging some of the more interesting trinkets my parents have collected so, mostly I take tabletop close ups. However, the weather is getting warmer and plants are beginning to come back, not to mention the bird feeder is getting some more action.
At any rate, here is the link to my photo blog which I am using to get some of the pics out there:

BTW, if any one has any suggestions on where I can go to have more people click on the blog, let me know. (I have been thinking about using Flickr)
Thanks and happy shooting! olc

I just bought a set of pouches from Digital Goja-on their Ebay site. They are also sold on their store site. The XL pouch (10.5")fits the Sig 100-400mm-which was the primary reason I bought the 3 pouch set. They are listed as neoprene lens pouches and have a lining inside-made pretty well. For $12, you really couldn't go wrong
I also have that lens and use an old case I bought used from the local photo shop. it is not large enough for the lens hood. So, I m looking for something too. can you provide the wed address?
THX.
Hey guys! I just tried to post the .m4v on my blog, Unfortunately, Blogger does not support the file format. At least as far I can see. So, I posted to Facebook. If you want to go on over to my page, Neil M. Turner. Gotta say that the IQ really sucks, but you may be able see how the light changes with time.
If any one out there has any suggestions about post to FB, let me know.

Sorry, I meant to tell you to use Photos and not iMovie. iMovie will work also, but Photos is faster. After you edit your images, import them into Photos and then create a slideshow. You can choose music from iTunes for a background. Sorry for the confusion. It's been a long day for me, so I apologize for this gross mistake. If you are unfamiliar with this feature, go to Help and download and print the manual. It's not difficult to use, but not always as intuitive as it should be. I really like this feature because it's quick to use once you get the hang of it

Mac users pay 3x for the same machine---I know. Now I am stuck in the Appleverse.

If you have a Mac, then use iMovie. I do this a lot for my granddaughter's gym routines. I set the slide advance to as low as it can go and it makes a neat movie and the software is free. I don't have a clue what PC software is available.
What is a PC? I’ll look into iMovies, thanks!
I took a bunch of pictures of a sunset and want to make them into a movie. It was suggested to me that I do his project as a learning excel isle to watch how the light changes from minute to minute. I understand that Lightroom does this but, I have never even opened it.
Does any one out there know how to create a movie from stills?
Thx, olc
