I took a bunch of pictures of a sunset and want to make them into a movie. It was suggested to me that I do his project as a learning excel isle to watch how the light changes from minute to minute. I understand that Lightroom does this but, I have never even opened it.

Does any one out there know how to create a movie from stills?

Thx, olc

If you have a Mac, then use iMovie. I do this a lot for my granddaughter's gym routines. I set the slide advance to as low as it can go and it makes a neat movie and the software is free. I don't have a clue what PC software is available.

What is a PC? I’ll look into iMovies, thanks!

Sorry, I meant to tell you to use Photos and not iMovie. iMovie will work also, but Photos is faster. After you edit your images, import them into Photos and then create a slideshow. You can choose music from iTunes for a background. Sorry for the confusion. It's been a long day for me, so I apologize for this gross mistake. If you are unfamiliar with this feature, go to Help and download and print the manual. It's not difficult to use, but not always as intuitive as it should be. I really like this feature because it's quick to use once you get the hang of it

PC is Political Correct? It's Personal Computer but it's more accurate to call it a Windows computer and the Mac is much more of a personal computer. Mac users tend to take it personally.

Mac users pay 3x for the same machine---I know. Now I am stuck in the Appleverse.

Yes, we most certainly do. It's like calling a Pepsi or a Cheerwine a "coke"-----yeaach. That mess from Coca-cola is only good as a cleaning acid.

Yeah, but you can't put a price on reliability in software performance. I'll never go back to the Microsh%&*t world.

Yeah. Get a Panasonic GH4 or GH5. It does it automatically in the camera.

Actually, you can do it in any video editor with a bit of patience and lots of time.

May be it's the best way to make copy of a film. Having a machine that can advance the film frame by frame automatically and remotely trigger the GH camera. It would be great to transfer movie film to digital video.

Look up movies by Griffin Hammond on YouTube. He uses lots of time lapse sequences. He has a tutorial on it on one of his older podcast shows.

There’s a nice segment in “Hand Cut” done as time lapse. Watch in 4K if you can.
