Oh boy that sounds like something I'd like to see. Will have to see if hubby has anything planned. He drives a school bus and on weekends when he can get it he does "Private Drives". That is when he drives the customer's car from their home and then back to there home. That way they don't have to worry about where to park and they can drink and not worry about getting a DWI. Then he also drives a limo for several different companies. Some of the things he tells me about from his limo jobs are soooooo funny. One time we went out to eat with some friends and he was telling them about what had happen the night before. There were 2 ladies at the table next to us and I thought they were going to fall off of their chairs laughing.

Thanks to all that have viewed and for your kind comments. The expo took place at the New Orleans Lakefront airport. This is a small airport in eastern New Orleans. The rides were NOT cheap, went up to about $1700-$1900.
Will post more shots sometime today.
Thanks again,
Don

Don, I sure do wish I had known about it ahead of time. Hubby worked at Lakefront Airport for over 30 years. I think our granddaughter would have enjoyed the show. Poppy could have told her about all of the planes. The company he worked for has moved to an airport in MS since he retired. Too much damage from hurricanes over the years. Besides that the planes used offshore were always moved to MS for hurricanes anyway. Next time would you let me know?

Did you format the card to the camera that you are using. I had that problem and I had forgot to format the card to that camera. Took me about a week to figure out what was wrong with that camera. My other cameras and card were working alright then after reading the manual and changing the settings in eos setting back and forth I finally stumbled on to the problem. Another time the settings got changed in eos utility.

I believe her JPG pictures downloaded but not the RAW pictures.

I am in my 70's and tarted drinking coffee at eight years of age...typical in my childhood home. Never tried various pansy flavored coffees.

I don't remember when I started drinking coffee and it coffee & chicory. Until he passed my dad always had a cup of coffee in front of him when he was home. When ever I'd ask him to help me with something he'd say "Let me finish my spot". His spot was his coffee. After I grew up and had my own children and they asked him to do something with them.... You probably guessed it, he'd have to finish his spot.

BTW, my wife happens to be Irish. But she prefers to make traditional Dutch dishes. Imagine that... ;)

My ancestors are from France, Ireland, Scotland, England and Italy. I cook like my mother plus the changes I've made. My poor kids, besides the countries I've already mentioned, have ancestors from Sweden, Germany and American Indian. They are truly a mixture.

I also want to thank those who served. I served during the "so called 'Police Action' in Korea 1951-1955". I wonder how many people remember those times?

My brother was in that "Police Action". I remember the day when he came to my school in the middle of the day in uniform. He had just gotten home. He was 14 years older than me and he had spoiled me rotten. I was so glad when he got home, but he had changed. After Mama passed and I was going through her things I found some letters and pictures that he had sent from Korea. Mentally he was in a bad way. He would never talk to us about it. Wouldn't tell us how he got some scars on his body. I think he got a purple heart.

I can relate in a mild way to the post traumatic stress disorder so many of our vets suffer. I used to work for a bank. The first and second robbery was quiet and I didn't know about it until it was over. The third robbery wasn't quite as quiet. One of the tellers needed some more cash for her drawer so I had taken her into the back room where we kept our daily cash at. I gave her the money and did the paperwork . Just as I got to the point that the robber could see me he threw a big red bag over the teller line and that red bag landed right at my feet. I realized immediately what was going on and walked backwards back into that room we had been in. The young teller was still behind me and I remember stepping on her feet. There was another teller on the phone with another branch and she just sat the phone down and crawled on her hands and knees. I don't know how she fit through the little opening the door had but she managed to get into that room with the 2 of us that were already in there. Standing there hearing everything that was going on and waiting for a bullet to come through that wall and kill me.

I got through all of that and was back leading a normal life. Then one Sunday I went with some friends to see the movie Captin Phillips. In one part of the movie when they are first boarded Captin Phillips sent his men to hid. Watching that I was back in the bank in that little room hearing all the yelling and waiting to be shot. I started shaking and the adrenalin was flowing. Hubby was out of town and I just couldn't go back home by myself. Had to go to my friends house. Just telling the story here has the adrenalin going. So I can understand what our vets go through except that they have much more danger.

Visiting prison can be like going to a petting zoo featuring lions, tigers, and bears. Not everything that looks friendly is as nice as it appears.

I agree, it was an experience going in there. Some of the inmates were allowed to be out among the guests. Some of them though were behind a very high fence, but the things they were selling was out on tables outside the fence. I bought a chopping board from an inmate that was behind that fence. His name is "Fish". He gave me a form showing what I was buying, how much it was and his identity. I took that to a little booth and paid for the chopping board. Then I was given another form to give to Fish. What made me angry was that I couldn't bring my camera in to take pictures of the rodeo but a lot of the people just got their phones out and took all of the pictures they wanted. If they don't want pictures taken then they should not allow phones in either.

Sorry, but I don't know what could be wrong. I don't see how changing lenses could effect uploading. When you figure it out let me know. I'm curious.

I just plug the SD card into my card USB 3 reader and use my file manager to copy and paste them where I want them. Or alternatively, I import them from the SD card using Lightroom's import feature.

I plug my camera into the computer. Perhaps that is the difference.

At home we use Cafe de Monde from NO, LA. Sorry, Beignets not included.
Outside, I love Dunkin Donuts and McD's coffees. But I'm good with any French Roast, as long as it's not diluted to the strength of a mud puddle.

I grew up drinking CDM Coffee and Chicory. Started out, before I started school, with mostly milk and was allowed more coffee the older I got. Somewhere along the way I lost the chicory and now drink dark roast.

Do you always use Digital Photo Professional to download your pictures from the camera to your computer? I ask because I always use the EOS Utility to download my pictures.
