OH OK thanks for that explanation. I just was wondering how those framed photos in art show look so darn good. I take very interesting portraits but I guess I have more to lean about presentation.

Yes Yes that is the camera store I go to also. Small world! They ARE very knowledgeable, I agree.
I love doing portraits of people who do not know I am shooting them. It can get touchy when they realize I am doing it. After a man grabbed the camera out of my hand (furious) I now ASK PERMISSION.
I live in Spring Hill so there is not much in the way of street photography. I am spoiled coming from Manhattan where people are outside.

So, can you give me some tips of that LENS? It would be appreciated.

There is a good photo club here and they do really great shots. They meet Monday evenings at a small building at the Oak Hill Hospital grounds. They call themselves the Spring Hill Camera or Photo club
I go when I can.

Greetings all
I do not have a lot of funds for better lens but, I was able to purchase a Nikkor AF-5 50MM 1:1.8G LENS from a local camera store in New Port Richie, Florida.

I asked for a lens that I can use for better portraits. I am not used to it yet. HELP!

Also I am hearing a lot of things about the Silver developing or printing of those portraits I see in museums exhibits. Can someone enlighten me about this? Please.

Hi all,
I had right rotator cuff surgery two weeks ago and I am in a sling for another three weeks. I miss being able to shoot photos. It has been frustrating but I will be out of the sling so I will get back into the camera groove soon.
Has anyone had this experience? Please share.

Think the answer to your question is the quality of Raw is consistent whatever else you set your camera to record,of course RAw file has far more latitude to edit whatever bits of your photo you might want to change.
Graham
Ps I shoot and edit Raw in Zoner photo pro 18

Hi
I use both just to see the difference. Raw is much more pliable and adjustable.

Help!
I live in Florida. I started doing portrait photography for friends and family. I recently did a photo shoot of a friend who wanted nude shot fo herself. I enjoyed the artistic part of it and they came out great. I like black and white for nudes especially. One person paid me! So I am wondering how to advertise a photo service of nudes for individuals or couples. When people ask me what kind of photography I do how can hook them in without seeming perverted.
Can I show my nudes in an art show? ( No faces ).

Don't be afraid to make mistakes... while you practice! Especially if you are going to charge someone for their photos or it is a fleeting shot. Practice makes perfect when combined with knowledge. They say it takes 5 years of continuous effort in any given occupation to become good at it. I beg to differ with photography. It is a lifetime of learning. Especially with today's camera options! Digital is awesome.

Yes they are several ways.
At the moment I can only think of a few.
1) Study your scene
2) know your equiptment
3) be aware of the available light
4) a tri pod might help
I am sure other photogs will have better things to say

Absolutely true.
Sometimes I am out with people and they wonder why I grab my camera and start shooting something
that seems very ordinary to them. I am surprised they do not "See" what I see.
I Never ever leave home without my camera.
Every day right before I leave the house I take my purse. keys, jacket and my Camera in it's case.
