I think you have to always be careful with the 3rd party resellers. That is why you will usually get asked to furnish a review - that is how Amazon weeds out the undesireables. I have a son who sells merchandise through Amazon and I know they are very strict. If you are late with 3 shipments they will boot you out.

One of the largest retailers in the world (Amazon) should be reputable.

There is no indication that this is being sold by a third party. I believe when it says "shipped and sold by Amazon" that it is the real deal but could always be wrong?

Ships from and sold by Amazon with USA Warranty. I would not think Amazon would deal in the gray market?

Was checking into a Nikon 7100 and discovered this: New from Amazon with a 18-140 Zoom lens is priced at $1296.95. I jumped over to Nikon's website to check prices on a refurb 7100 and with the same lens it was priced at $1799.95. One of the problems I have always found with camera equipment has always been the wide and varible price range. Can't help but feel sympathy for someone buying their first camera. Let the Buyer Beware is so true with everything.

I was just there in Oct-Nov of last year. I visited the following sites and got some great shots: Bay of Islands, Auckland, Rotorua, Whangarei and Hobbiton ( Alexander Farm where the Hobbit movies were filmed). Many great sites in the South Island if you can get there. Hobbiton is a beautiful place and you won't want to miss it even though it is a bit of a tourist trap and the crowds can be large.

Can anyone offer expertise on adding a signature at the bottom of photos. I cannot get PS Elements 12 to produce a signature - even after downloading detailed instructions. Thanks in advance for any help.

I understand there are codes available for Smugmug or Zenfolio. Can anyone who use these sites, pass one along to both our benefit? Thank you.

Thanks everyone for your replies and information. I think Smugmug might fit my needs. I currently do use Flickr for some things but I guess I am looking for some WOW! One has to be careful with some sites whose only purpose is to make it easy to order photo products from them (snapfish, Shutterfly).

I have over 2000 photos taken on a tour of Australia and New Zealand. A number of individuals on this tour wanted copies of my photos. Can anyone recommend a photo site that would be easy to share with other non-technical travelers. Most of the photos were taken with a Canon 60D or Canon SX50 atmaximum resolution. I would like the others to be able to view these photos and also to download any they would like for their own collections or scrapbooks. Thanks for any help.

So I am looking to get the D7100 body only and 42nd street photo has it at $749. Seems to good to be true. Never ordered from here. Anyone have any experience. Are they reputable?

I used them once and it was a nightmare. I even stopped in the store in NY City and English was the least spoken language. They will try to up-sell you and/or send you something you didn't order and then you have to try and get a refund. Stay away would be good advice!
