So I am looking to get the D7100 body only and 42nd street photo has it at $749. Seems to good to be true. Never ordered from here. Anyone have any experience. Are they reputable?

Use the search feature button above, type in 42nd street photo, be ready for 45 minutes of reading.
Use B&H or Adorama or KEH. What was priced to you is most likely gray market which will not have a NikonUSA warranty. It will probably not even have a battery. Buyer beware.
One experience and it was good. Bought an open box. Body only, the STM lens had been removed. I got the body for a 150 dollars less than B & H. And it arrived on time with factory warranty. The customer service called me before the package and ship and tried to push some accessories I didn't need but was real courteous. Then called after I received it to see if I was satisfied with the order and the process. Thought the shipping time was a day or two too long, but it shipped the day they promised.
As Mr. Pine mentioned, check the above, if money is an issue (it is/was for me) try also looking for refurbished bodies.
I bought a refurbished D7100 at Cameta Camera for $890 and it came with a 1 year warranty from Cameta. Something to think about.

Just my opinion but I have always felt that 42st photo was kind of tradind on the name of 47stPhoto which was a mainstay of NYCITY photo houses for decades.
Everyone else has said it and now I'll put my two cents in.
STAY AWAY!!
You could actually shop some of these stores yourself since you are in the neighborhood.
You may also want a second memory card since the 7100 has two slots.
I inquired about a Nikon 105mm lens which was much less expensve than B&H. They told me it was gray market and had no warranty. They also told me that they do not sell a US warranty Nikon. I would assume from that that they don't sell US warranty Nikon cameras as well
At least they rold you that they are selling grey market stuff, that's a plus.
If the price looks to be good to be true, it's too good to be true. Go with an established dealer like B&H or Adorama.
You might get lucky. Odds are you won't. Probably 10 bad reviews of 42nd St for every good one.
I stay with B&H. 50% thru online & 50% I go there. Love the store and the helpful sales people.
