I like this. Good composition. Same color flowers add to the similar color of the unusual butterfly.

Mark,
I like Andrea, the person directing and teaching these young folks is Joan Chamarro. They are from Spain and Joan conducts a young peoples band in Barcelona called Saint Andreu Jazz Band. He also plays baritone sax. In some of his videos the great Scott Hamilton plays sax. At first, I thought they were from Brazil because they performed many classic Brazilian songs. Check out Alba Armengou - another young lady that Joan has been working with.
Thanks for the post,

I certainly feel the same as you about the sadness of a home that is beyond useful years and has been left to the elements. There is an odd beauty in visualizing the past glory.
Thank-you for your thoughts and to all of those folks that have viewed my post and have also taken the time to comment.

Looks like a great fixer-upper. I really like this house. Would you mind sharing where it is?
This house was on Ohio Route 2 across from the Ottawa bird Sactuary. Very close to Oregon Ohio.
I believe that it has been demolished.

I am sure it was a family home for many years.

Growing up in the 50's. Cleveland had a most vibrant downtown shopping area. Great and wonderful department stores. At Christmas, they showed off their decorated windows with moving santas and colorful displays. Huge Christmas trees and full floor toy displays showing the wonderful Lionel train setups. For those that remember those days in Cleveland, the stores were: May Company, Baileys, Bonwit Teller, Sterling Lindner and Davis, and Higbees. You can still visit the Higbee building which is now a casino.
Oh well nothing remains the same - but I have those dear and precious memories.

Mark,
What a very special and happy family. My life has been renewed with my 3 1/2 year old grand daughter.
May they all be happy and healthy.

Wow!!
Thanks for brightening my Monday morning. Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross were so unique. Joe Williams was the best. During his career, Jon Hendricks collaborated with A. Jobim in writing English lyrics for some of Jobim's masterpieces. Annie was performing in a NYC hotel on weekends not that many years ago.
So many good memories.
Thank-you

Hi BobbyJohn,
Thank-you for the website. I actually made the cake along with the frosting. It is a real winner and much better than box cakes. Very moist and easy to make. I will review other recipes in the Lyons Family Cookbook. Being in this photo group, I should have taken a picture. Too late now.
Thanks,

Thanks Mark,
Music makes my day - Thank-You for sending!!

Thanks Mark,
Never saw that vid before. Jon Hendricks was a very talented guy. He went on to work with the great composer, Antonio Jobim. He finally settled in the Toledo Ohio area and passed away within the last few years. Last I heard, Annie Ross would occasionally perform at a well known New York hotel. As a group, Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross were so unique - One of my favorites was their rendition of "Charleston Alley"

Regis, just love your pictures. This one is very special with the two birds. Thanks for posting and Happy New Year.
WOW!! This set renews my interest in photography. The first one with the lights is absolutely stunning. They are all very special. Big thanks for sharing.
What wonderful stories along with some home pictures of a very famous couple. They must have had a strong attachment to you and your photographic skills to allow such a personal at home setting.
Special thanks for sharing.
