The Old Croton Aqueduct is and old dirt road with mostly trees the back houses on both sides. There are a couple of old large homes you can see.

When there are no trees in fall and winter you can get a good view of The Octagon House.

A lot of people love to walk, jog and ride their on ride their bikes on it.

I have had some similar issues. When you go to the start menu check all the picture menus that come up. Some how a new path may have been created where your pictures are. This does not always happen because of Windows 10. Ii is always go to also to hmmsweep the computer for malware and viruses on a regular basis. If you have an IT person you may them to look into the situation.

I have been through a few of the same problems with some subcriptions.

Just as an example. One magazine I use to sibsribe to told me they had fifty thousand subcrbers. It was taking them a while to contact all the subcribers about the magazine going digital.

Another magazine told me their print version was killing them financially.

It is a very sad delema in the digital age.

Hello Everyone,

Please join the Pictorial Photographers of America for their summer photo project:

"The Manhattanhenge"

The Manhattanhenge, also known as the Manhattan Solstice, is an event during which the setting sun or the
rising sun is aligned with the east-west streets of the main street grid of Manhattan, New York City. (Wikipedia)

The next one will take place in July. Here are the dates:

THURSDAY, JULY 12, AT 8:20 PM EDT (FULL SUN)
FRIDAY, JULY 13, AT 8:21 PM EDT (HALF SUN)

Several photos of "The Manhattanhenge" will be selected to be displayed in our newsletter and on our website.

The photo project is free to participate in and is open both members and nonmembers in New York City and
the surrounding area.

Pictorial Photographers of America (PPA) is open to photographers - professional, amateur and beginner - of all levels. Founded by Clarence H. White in 1916, it is one of NYC's oldest photography clubs.

One meeting per month is usually a presentation by a photo professional, and one is a members' competition (digital and print categories) critiqued and judged by a professional.

If you wish to participate in the project please private message me for the information.

Thank you

Oh I am only about five feet tall so it seems the 55 inches should be fine for me.

Thank you for your response. I really do not use Tripods. This is the first time I will be using one in years.

I have four Tripods.

I had just purchased one at a swap meet. This was a good size sturdy one or so it seemed. It would suppose to be brand new from a camera store that was going out of business.

This was one I was planning to use. I checked it before I purchased it. It seemed fine.

When I opened it yesterday a screw was missing on one of the legs.

My other three are on the light side and I would not chance to to my current camera on them.

I checked out several other Tripods on Amazon again.

I finally went with the ZOMEI 55.

Hello,

I will be participating in a sunset photography event next week.

I checked my tripods and just discovered the one I was planning to use was broken.

I actually have not used a Tripod in years.

I also am new to sunset photography.

I located the following tripod on Amazon:

ZOMEI 55" Compact Light Weight Travel Portable Folding SLR Camera Tripod for Canon Nikon Sony DSLR Camera with Carry Case(black)

The reviews were decent.

I will be using a Canon Powershot SX530 HS.

I didn't want to make to much of an investment since I really do not use a tripod on a regular bases.

Will my camera fit this tripod, is it a study and would it meet my needs?

Also how important is the height?

I looked at a few that were 72 inches. That would be taller then I am.

Thank you

Thank you Linda

Yes I still am in a camera club.

The main problem is most of the time I usually am out for the day with my husband on the weekends.

I do have alot of time to work on setting with the samera.

So I usually have to go with auto mode.

I am currently running two events over the summer for my club.

One of them is for the Manhattanhenge sunset event next week.

So I want to try and get it right.

I am taking a night photography course online.

I hope I will learn something from it.

I will also look into the book you recomended.

Thank you
