That is what the world spent on armaments last year.

Does anyone really think our species is not doomed?

Just happened upon a show called Alaskan Bush People. It's about a family of ignorant, superstitious and obtuse
people trying to live in an environment for which they are ill equipped. There is a Darwin Award just waiting
for them. It's good for a laugh.

This should be an interesting situation. The driver was dead, yet he kept getting parking tickets. Will his estate have to pay them?

A reason that is often given for why our environment is not warming more is that much of the increase in temperature is going into the oceans and lakes. Not only does this contribute to melting of ice at the poles (which adds water to the oceans), but as ocean water warms it expands. And of course an added complication is that there will be more evaporation from the warmer ocean water so more clouds and more rain.

There are a lot of complications. But I suspect more of the rising sea level is due to the expansion of warmer water than to the added quantity of water.

I have been using an Epson, for years,, it was a cheap one, but it had copier, and scanner all included. I paid less than a hundred bucks for it, and the reason I keep using it, is the photos are outstanding !!!! I print 8 1/2 x 11and 4 x 6 stunning photos.

I'm considering replacing my Canon printer (fairly new). Reason? Well I spent about $120 or so on the printer about 1 year ago and have already spent more than that on ink. I don't print many photos but the ink just goes away... cleaning I suppose.

Who here has/had experience with Epson? I know they are a good brand but I've never used them. What kind of experience do you have to share.

Thanks folks.

"Before I push the Sleep button on my keyboard"
Never knew there was one until your post, Jerry. I let my settings in Power determine if and when my PC sleeps. Is there an advantage to using the "sleep button"? The only time I boot my PC are when installation requires a mandatory boot. I do have my monitors turn off after 30 minutes of idle. Curious as to what others do.
Thanks,
Mark

I picked up a couple of 2 terabyte off line hard drives,,, I can't imagine, storing my data somewhere else. I don't understand why people don't use these,, that way all your info is in your hands, you don't have to worry about some one else loosing it,or keeping it,,or whatever. ???

Amazon have once again played a dirty trick, I have just received this Email two days after the event:

"As of September 19, 2016, your Amazon Unlimited Photos storage plan is no longer available.

To replace this, we are giving you a free 3-month trial of the Unlimited Storage plan, which starts now and lets you store as many photos, videos, and other files as you like. When your Unlimited Storage trial ends in 3-months, you will be charged $59.99 for a one-year plan. You can cancel your trial at any time"

I will not be using their option at any price because it is not that good for storage, in my case it does not keep upto date with my recent photographs at this moment in time it is 3 days behind.
