I wanted to share a few pictures that I did at home with my little Canon Power shot......i finally got the Canon T3i and the Canon 60D so I want to compare these pictures with the newer 2 cameras. I really think they are great aside maybe from the glass and the camera not being of great quality...but playing around with lighting and rocks...I found that this day was quite fun. I will be posting more of the older camera Vs. the newer one. Do you have any special rock shots or lighting pictures you want to share? Maybe where you played with lights and rocks? Thanks for looking....Im sure you will all let me know what you think...

I finally got my new camera!!! Yay!!! How can I avoid either my back drop or my front view being out of focus? How can I get it to where both are in focus? Its frustrating!!! I know there is a way...I love taking close shots. Im doing rather well I think. But I loose some of the beauty in my pictures when the background or foreground is blurred. I know its ok...but I dont want it in every photo I have. You will see when I start posting my floral and fauna a pictures. Im using the Canon T3 18-55mm

These pictures were taken at my home. Woke up to frost. This is taken with the new Canon Rebel T3i. Im aware the last 2 are blurry but was amazed at the glow and sun spots the little bit of sun put off. Not pictures for the wall but nevertheless I thought they were cool enough to share to show what I captured. I did NOT touch them...straight from the camera. Got any frost pictures? care to share? I will start posting mine, now that I got my camera!

In response to all of that and Jr....sometimes salt hurts. If you ask a question obviously your trying to gain knowledge thats how we learn. If someone is rude it puts you off and then you don't want to ask questions or share your pictures. I simply was asking to learn. It amazes me that all of us forget that we once were new and didn't know a damn thing. But if you give someone a little knowledge they forget where they themselves came from. My brother has been with UHH since basically it started. He just happened to be here so I asked for him. I don't think anyone one person could say they know EVERYTHING there is to know about taking pictures...things change with the times to. So lets not forget that you may know more then others but to treat them with the dignity they deserve. Its a privilege to be on here not a right. If that's how I will get treated simply by asking questions....why would I want to put up my pictures for advice to get torn apart and disrespected? Just saying...I thought that was rude...and thank you to everyone else that said a word on my behalf. I'm just looking to make new photography buddies...not enemies! I may have taken it wrong myself...but it came across rude and abrasive, even arrogant. I just want to have fun and make friends, while learning in the process! See you with my new pictures soon...got the gear and glass...now I'm out kicking photo butt! ;0)

Thank you everyone for all your advice and knowledge. I will pass this on to him and we can chat about it. We have went to some of the local shops and it seems they want to sell one specif lens...almost push it. As amateurs without sacrificing quality we want to get as much as we can for our buck. Im sure that I will be back on to ask more questions....still waiting here for my T3i to show and the lens so I can start shooting with it and my new 60D...thanks again everyone!!!

I will post photos soon. I have a different perspective on things I like to shoot. But, I guess that's what makes people individuals. Everyone's idea of art is what makes them an artist. I will soon...waiting for them to arrive...and when they do....watch out world...here I come! Thank you for being so inviting and kind! I cant wait to share...and get more advice!

!)! is great start I agree! My suggestion is that you google "photography spots for your drive down the Pacific...." Or something of that nature. You will get tons of responses and be able to see pictures and research your destinations a little bit. Also I would bring lots of storage as well....you will be a snappy camper!!!! Have fun, be safe...Happy Shooting!

I understand that you first said that you didnt have $ to throw down on a camera. Why not start with craigslist or E-bay? Im sure that you can find what your looking for there. There is a lot to choose from and in many different price ranges so you can find what fits your budget. Good luck on your search....patience sometimes works to. Some thing will come along for you that grabs your eye. Wait and see!

CHG...funny you should ask. Yes, in fact we bought the Canon T#i and got a bundle deal. It came with 2 IS lenses, flash, memory card, ect ect. Im ordering the grip as we speak. Ironically, when I went to visit my father last night. He gave me an excellent opportunity. 1 month ago, he purchased a Canon EOS D60 and used once. A friend of his gave him the option of buying a Canon D5 Mark 2 . So, in the feeling of generosity, he is offering the D60 for $ 525.00. So, I guess our search is over. I did not want to pass that up! How close in comparison are these two cameras. I mean I know one is obviously better. But can the T3i hold up against the D60? You guys have been great! I feel like Im in a room full of teachers! This is spectacular! Howdy back to you from Washington!!! Let me know what you guys think!
Yours,
Parkhurst
