When I went from Sierra to High Sierra my speed dropped along with new problems with Photos/Affinity. It took me nearly a year to get back to where I started and I vowed to wait a year after the next update before I installed it. My advice is to wait at least until the first update is made to Mojave.
Can BeFunky be used with iMac? With the old iPhoto there was a white frame around e-mailed pictures, now with Photos the pictures are jammed up against each other.
Thankew, Fred L
Longtime Olympus user (OM2, OM4) with a bevy of lenses. I can use them all on my Sony 6000 with inexpensive Fotodiox adapters. Of course focusing and exposure are manual but the Sony 6000 series has focus peaking that put a colored outline around objects that are in focus and have a built-in exposure ISO feature that you can turn on.
That whole generation of comics who used to appear on the Sullivan show: Myron Cohen; Buddy Hacket; Sam Levenson et al could make you roll out of your chair with laughter without using a "dirty" word. Risque situation yes. Obscenities Verboten. Today the crudest versions of Kraft-Ebbing's clinical descriptions of sexual deviancy engulf us like water from a stopped-up sewer in the guise of being "with it".
When you junk your car will you sell me its wonderful rear view mirror? Gorgeous pictures.
Never heard of war reparations to the US (and I am an 87 yr old news junkie). To the contrary, the US helped rebuild war ravaged Europe via the Marshal Plan in the immediate post war era.
What you may be alluding to is a relatively recent revelation that the Leitz organization, parent of all things Leica, in the '30's surreptitiously moved many of their Jewish personnel out of Germany offering them jobs in their far flung offices in the free world. Thus saving their lives.
Why do they sit in opposite directions?

I am not criticizing the artistry but to my eye nothing appears to be sharp. What lens was used? What shutter speed?
Thankew! That would rule out frogs north of Northern Virginia where lakes freeze over in cold winters.
Where do they go in winter?
You have taken something that at first glance seems mundane as to lighting and subject and turned it into something quite beautiful. Congrats!
I glue 2 ends of a shoe string (after cutting the tips off) to the lens cap. Loop it around the strap and let it dangle when off the lens. When changing lenses it is simple enough to unloop it.
Right eye for camera eyepiece (Sony 6000). If you use your left eye you get nose oil on the viewing screen.
Great, understandable work-around. Will try.
Most obliged and thanx!
Is it possible to use Lightroom to process pictures in the Apple Photos database? I want to select pictures, go out to Lightroom and process them and return the processed picture to my Photos file. I want to avoid the Lightroom catalog feature.
When I first got Lightroom I converted my 19K file to Lightroom and ended up with a 100K+ file with many, many duplicates. I finally eliminated the duplicates manually (I now have 21k pictures in my Photos file) and use Affinity in conjunction with Photos but there are many tools in Lightroom and even Photoshop that I would like to use (I currently subscribe to both, but will give up the subscription if I can't use the Photos database) .
Thankew for any info!
