>>>I'm not seeing where the OP has any 'L' glass. His 70-300 IS USM sounds like the EF70-300 f/4-5.6 IS USM which when it was first released was called, 'as near to L glass without actually being 'L' glass' I own one, used it on my &D and it was a great lens.

Were it me, I'd hang with what you currently have. Both good lenses. IF you are looking to get wider, think of the EF-S10-22 f/3.5-4.5. On your 60D it will produce the equivalent of a 16mm-35mm lens shot with a FF sensor, which is what a LOT of folks are shooting with and that is a sweet lens.

I think ppl got confused with wgat I said.that was to sell alk his lenses and buy a l series. Its a case of read what you want to see instead of reading what is actually there!
But whether your camera is ff or not you can produce some fantastic shots using the right lense! My first wide angle lense was a 10-20 sigma on a 7d.now my 1dsiii runs l series 17-40.when doing the math its about the same thing.

The 24-105 l is a great lens, but is not wide enough for a cropped sensor camera like the 60d with its 38-168mm equivalent. Keep the 17-85mm & pick up a used 70-200mm 4/L. Can be had for around 500$. Later if you want to go wider look at the 10-22mm Good luck

That is true but the 24-105 is great for the all round lense.but a sigma 10-20mm is cheep n great for a crop sensor camera.my wide sngle lense is the 17-40mm l series with a full frame body that suits me fine.as for the 70-200 I psid over $2500 as its a usm ii but my general lense is the 24-70mm l series ii.yep my kit is valued over $30gs but thanks for your imput

And your asking ppl with more than 6or 7 lenses at least to play with?I never leave home without three lenses minimum! But to answer your question go onyo google type that lense with review and get uour answer . personally if it was me I would sell every lense I had and bought a l series 24-105.

You needed a photographer's assistant to have the puppet playing over your shoulder...That would really have gotten their attention. ;-) Again, great shots.

I use a nd for my 10--20 no problems at all n I never take it off as the nd adds contrast that the sigma lacks compared to the l series lenses.

I've used them at weddings. Had an assistant hold one during some candid shots to help lighten up what was in the background.

A tripod is cheaper! Plus my camera only only comes in manual mode ow and bulb!

[quotye=Fuzzycoach]I've been playing around with IR for bout a year now. Depending on the camera and lenses IR filters can run as much as $100 and if you go that route you will need a Tripod for sure. Just go to
http://www.youtube.com/ and search for IR...... there is a ton of info on shooting and post processing. I had a old Canon 20D layin around cost me 225. to have it converted to IR. Its a whole new world out there in IR!!!! Here are a few of my latest.[/quote]

I agree great photos! Love the shot with the bubbles
Ahhh ou said converting your camera?so I need to do more than just buy a infared lense filter?
Im shooting with a 1dsii n a 7d for those action shots.
But thank you for sharing your photos I definitely have a few great shots in mind!
