I had 4 of them - 2 1969s and 2 1971s back in the mid '70s. Love them!!! Made a motorized baby buggy out of one and used to put it in auto shows. Never won anything but people sure got a kick out of it. The stories I could tell from all the fun I used to have with them.

That it is, every ton of it. They're so cute I couldn't resist putting the camera down and giving him a big hug after which my wife went off looking for someone to get me out of the tree.

Gorgeous truck - Kenworth always was, and still is, a beautiful tractor.

Love the angle of the shot taken and the lighting. Tell the member of the board he/she did good work. The photo shows there was some creative effort put into this.

I make my own frames and stain them. The way I do things is I figure what everything cost me. I send my photos out to be enlarged and laminated. On average here's my break down.

10 photos enlarged and laminated - roughly $6 per photo
pine casing used to make the frames - $4.95
Stain used - 5 coats - average 15 frames per quart - $2 per frame
On the 8x10 and smaller I laminate myself - $1 per photo
I don't even count my time involved.

For 5 x 7 and 8 x 10 - $10
For 18 x 24 - $25

What I loose on the smaller ones I make up for on the larger ones. I live in a kind of small town area so can only charge what I think people here will pay. I lived up near a city (Rochester, NY) until I retired last fall and I charged double - $20 for the smaller, $50 for the larger.

I mentioned lamination - if done right and the photo placed in the frame with the right backing - you don't need glass or plexiglass and that alone saves about $20 expense right there.

SSSSSoooooo.......look at your area, how's the employment situation there? How many other spots do you know of there that are doing the same thing? There are a few things you have to look at to figure out what to charge and then - is it worth it???? Is this going to be a hobby or business? If a business then you have ALOT more expenses to figure in.

There is no definite answer to your question as each town or city is different. The way I look at it - as long as you make back the cost of materials you're doing good.

Jethro Tull are a British progressive rock group. Their music is characterised by the vocals, acoustic guitar, and flute playing of Ian Anderson, who has led the band since its founding, and the guitar work of Martin Barre, who has been with the band since 1969, after he replaced original guitarist Mick Abrahams.

Formed in Luton, Bedfordshire, in December 1967,[1] initially playing experimental blues rock, they later incorporated elements of classical music, folk music, jazz, hard rock and art rock into their music.[2] During a career that has spanned more than forty years, Jethro Tull have sold more than 60 million albums worldwide.[1]

Long live the classic rock and roll!!!!

Some idea of what part of the world you're in would help.

What is with all these people that are 'in hiding'????????
You don't have to give your street address, but a general area would be nice.

Yup - one of my pet peeves too, What - the FBI or somebody looking for them? Just a town or even just the state would be ok.

Ever tried the 2 second delay on the shutter release? It gives you 2 sec to get the camera still before the shot And you do have to hold the button half way down to activate the focus . Continuous focus setting can be a pain in the ass.

I'll give that a try - hold the button half way down. Thanks Greg

I forgot earlier - I always use manual but auto might do the same. Sometimes when I take a picture if I immediately move the camera right after I click it'll blur the photo. So what I do now is take the picture and hold the camera posed for about a 1/2 a second before moving it. The more I study your pictures the more I think this might be the case with you too.

For some reason my canon sx40 won't autofocus when I zoom. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so what can I do about it?
Thank You,
Bart

Is this happening when you go into the digital mode of the zoom range? I have an SX40 and with mine when I go into the digital mode I usually have to be leaning against something or use my tripod as the least little movement will throw the focus off. Also..... the sun - the brightness from the sun will haze the photo too. I'm wondering if that is what happens with you - the brightness of the snow with the brightness of the sun maybe have been a little too much for the sensors.

See what the white around the geeses neck did to my picture when I had a real bright sun.

The old barn is my favorite.

There was an old fallen down farm house across the road from it but was so grown over with brush and trees I couldn't get a decent shot of it.
