There is no 20th month of ANY year. So, it can never be valid. Last time it ever was was at 12:12:12 on Dec 12, the year 1212. More than 800 years ago. We would have to change the way we describe years on our calendar to give it a chance of EVER happening again. Too bad, too.

String pod is a great idea.

My problem has always been that I get down-and-up camera shake when I press the shutter button. So, I tend to use an inexpensive monopod to prevent that. I don't have too much of a problem with side-to-side camera movement, so I don't need a tripod, the monopod seems to resolve that for me.

Besides, you can't always take a tripod places. But there are a few places, at least, where you can take a monopod without a problem, and not a tripod. Just another consideration on this topic.

Wow. I'm a young 59, and I thought back to 1972 to count the TV channels I can remember, and we had at least 10 in Los Angeles. Some were UHF, but all were viable channels that I could remember. I did not watch all of them, but I remember them.

Let's see: 2 - KNXT - CBS, 4 - KNBC - NBC, 5 - KTLA - Independent, 7 - KABC - ABC, 9 - KHJ-TV - Ind, 11 - KTTV - Ind, 13 - KCOP - Ind, 22 - KWHY - Ind (not watched), 28 - KCET - PBS, 34 - KMEX - Spanish (not watched), and 52 - KBSC - Ind.

That makes 11 that I remember. I don't know if there were more. That was a little bit of fun to think back and see how well I remember. In 1972, I was 11, and graduating elementary school. Wow.

The info is probably valid. But I find it interesting that he is a PhD, and not an MD (unless those other abbreviations that follow are MD in another form that I am not aware of). Yet another incidence of info that looks like it could be real and from an expert not being from an expert.

But as I said, the info between the two graphics does make a lot of sense. I choose to wear a mask because I do not want to be the source of another's illness. As much as I wish I did not have to, and as uncomfortable as it can be.

But we have no idea what info from sources IS valid and what is not. I saw something from the CDC that said that many of the COVID-19 positives are from someone having had a common cold, since that is also a coronavirus sourced illness. That is what makes this so scary. And I do not know enough to be able to say I am reasonably sure what is right or not. So, I will use my reasonable ability to think for myself, fishing through what is political crap about all of this and what might be valid, and use those two graphics that make sense to me to choose to wear a mask.

The worst thing for me was, if I was going to wear a mask, get ones with stuff on them I want to show, kind of like a T-shirt for your face. But with all of the other garbage that happened about the same time, when I'd find ones I liked, it would take many weeks to get them. And you don't find that out until the order is placed. I want to do my part, but I can't get the necessary health stuff (masks) I was told to get and use. I ordered masks for my two favorite sports teams (Los Angeles Dodgers and San Jose Sharks) in April, and once ordered, got word I would not see them until mid-July. Shoot, the country is reopening NOW, and I may not need them anymore at that time. But then again, I will at least have some the next time we get a major health issue where they may be required. We have had 2 major flu epidemics the last 3 years before novel coronavirus. So...

(With all of the nonsense going on right now, do we now, and did we ever really need the masks? Or was it all really just a power play to get us to be scared in preparation for the coming election? What a joke now. it is all looking like a power play on us. Masks and social distancing contradicts the Black Lives Matter actions. Both are important and have merits. But which is really threatening to kill us or hurt us right now? Looking like neither, with all that is happening. What a joke of our leadership in this country, on BOTH sides of the aisle.)

I use a monopod since I seem to have a problem about the camera moving vertically when I press the shutter button. A tripod is too much to carry around, but a monopod gives me the stability to make my shots much more steady. Just my two cents worth. I use it maybe for a reason other than its original intent, but it works great for me.

I enjoyed reminiscing about great Dodgers (from before I was born).

And the pizza part was way fun, too. No problems from me. I make my choices because I enjoy them, but a few I make so I can share them with my wife. She has problems with beef (pepperoni) and milk (cheese). So we have to do things a little different. That was how we got to enjoy what we do. Sometimes it does work out to be a little better in the end. So I enjoyed the barb trading about pizza. So long as it wasn't serious. (That's also the fun about watching baseball with friends who are not fans of your team - trading barbs all game long, in good fun, and whoever wins, wins. It is just a game. Well, it is a way of life seriously missed right now, but that's another story.)

And Ava'sPapa:

Yes, unfortunately, he was. Mr. Campanella was always a classy player and man. (He even taught catchers about the game with the Dodgers, who kept him on with the team loosely until the day he did pass.)

Since the Dodgers left...who cares?

And I like the 100m distance for those who put pineapple on their pizza. Yup, keep 100m away from my pizza with pineapple on it. I just loves it!!! (Pineapple, bacon, bell pepper, chicken, mushrooms, and tomatoes for me.)

How about, instead of finding so much what we each disagree with, how about we figure out what we do agree on, so we can use it as a place to start working together to solve the issue. EVERY alternate idea is going to have a part we disagree with. Find what we can work with, and maybe we all can find somewhere in the middle where we can all be on common ground, and build from that towards a solution. Tearing each other down just shows how stupid each and every one of us can be. I even did it in coming to this reply. Let's work together so we can come out of this coronavirus issue safely and sanely. Then we can use it to bring our country back together, too, because NO ONE is right about what is wrong in our country and we need to use this practice to find the good answers that we can make work. Calling each other names doesn't help anybody, and shows how stupid each and every one of us can be.

...My wife and I have a collection of reusable bags that we have been using for years so we do not depend on caddies (plus it prevents impulse purchase )....

In California, we enacted a law last year that stores no longer needed to provide bags free. And we were then encouraged to use our own bags. That made sense to me.

The, with the virus, we were then told, in California, that the stores no longer bagged for us, we were to do our own bagging, for safety reasons. We were also told that we were not even permitted to bring our own bags into the store, as no one had a record of if they were clean enough or not. So we had to bag our own groceries using the store's bags, at cost, or take our groceries out to our own car and then bag them in our own bags.

No matter what, this coronavirus will either lead to the end of our civilized world (not that we were civilized anyways, haha) or the end of our mass sanity due to what we are doing to each other over this with the rules making it so darned difficult for so many. These rules do make some sense, but then they also appear that it is more about the power they can influence over us than the help it provides due to the health issues.

I do find it hard sometimes. And I wish that the political sides in our country, which are killing ALL of us the fastest, would learn to work together and find ways that help the majority of the people, not just their followers. By gosh, let's all work together people and get through this!!

Most of them are stated by scientists, each of whom have a lifetime of peer-reviewed experiments.
Some today are actually the result of peer-reviewed tests, but we have had little time to go through that.

Bottom line, to me, is that these scientists have an agenda in their facts, as they get tainted with their opinions, rather than stating the scientific fact itself, followed by an identified opinion. And then more people twist that to their agenda, and we end up with the comic news we have today, with little usable information. I would like to be considerate in my actions, but I also do not want to be stifled into useless action that makes me physically uncomfortable with little ability to do anything, just because someone's opinion, as opposed to fact, tells me so. That's all my point is.

You can either address these real facts or you can believe in ‘alternate facts’ .... I prefer the real facts.

But how do we KNOW which are which in this country? That's my question. Give me facts, so I can choose, myself, how I want to act, and if I want to risk killing myself in the process. That is really what it boils down to, either way. And it does NOT matter if you are liberal or conservative. A FACT is a fact, and then EACH OF US decides what we will do with that knowledge.

Replying to fetzler, who posted:

"There is absolutely no question that vaccines and are generally safe. Indeed small pox is extinct because of vaccination. I can recall the circular scar on everyone's arm. When I was a child EVERY kid had chicken pox, measles, and mumps.

There is, however, no guarantee of a COVID vaccine. Presently, no effective vaccine for any Corona virus disease(e.g. the common cold) exists. The flu vaccine does also does not work super well as there many mutations of this virus.

Waiting to be safe =Never."

My comment: I personally believe that those who are waiting for a vaccine will be waiting a long, long time. Remember that AIDS was a virus. Oh, and no vaccine yet for that, either. So, do what you need to do in the environment it is right now, and live. Be safe, and be reasonable.

I am not waiting for any vaccine. I would never trust one right now in this political climate anyway, as you don't know what someone (person or company) might portray as safe. And with this medical climate, I don't want to be the guinea pig to find out.

So, please be careful, be safe, and be considerate of others, as well. You cannot control what they do, only what you do. And I still plan to have a life.
