Hey Marissa thanks for the edit ) this is the look i was going for, i think youll see what i mean. Although your edits are lovely they are not akin to the wet plate look (nor might mine in some eyes lol)
Hi I like any photo that stops things in place. Do it again with the boots on higher ground and try to add a spark of something in the photo, maybe a penny on the ground too. Something like that. This is just an opinion ;) I like it with a bit of color too.
Hi Vicki thanks for the input. They are just casual snaps from a walk the other day with my sister. Rest assured if they were for real it would be different. It was more to do with the effect rather than the subject )
Dont mean to bang on but.. "easier to get good at than wood work" ) Since i started snapping on my iphone i have been absorbed by photography completely. I started out on a 600d a gift from my partner. This was adequate to learn on, about a year and a half later having grasped the basics and working in M mode i upgraded the body to a 7d. There will always be gear you want but not necessarily need! I agree with a previous poster..invest in good glass ie primes and use your feet ) this will give you an understanding of composition. Nail ISO , shutter speeds and aperture and your on your way. When you can achieve correct exposures and start experimenting with lighting and DOF- this is when you become an addict! Nailing a shot and achieving what you visualized for the image is an amazing buzz. Youll know when you have out grown your camera, upgrade then.. not before
