Very creative. I wonder if bringing the contrast down a smidge would bring out a little more detail in the face.
#1 for me also. It really lets the the little guy be the focal point and offers and interesting contrast between old and new.
Nice! I like the coloring of the photo; it really brings out the texture of his face.
No #1 is not upside down, but now that you mention it I might flip it to see if it looks better. The jelly fish were swimming in every direction, so I did not think about how it could appear upside down.
I will go back and try to lighten the face for more detail. Thanks.
I took this picture on an overcast day. The original picture was flat. Then, I played with Photoshop CS6 to make the picture more interesting. Normally, I don't like the artsy stuff, but I think this one turned out okay.

I see survival of the fittest. One man's weed is another man's flower. While I hate weeds in the lawn, there is something magically about dandelions at this stage. I love how you gave us the ant's perspective by getting under the dandelion. Awesome job; I want to pluck it, blow, and make a wish.
The third one is the one I like. It looks like the original shot without any special effects is pretty amazing.
I really like #4. While the warm colors of #1 and #3 are nice, I like the sharp detail of #4 as well as the cooler red of the candles and the deeper blue in the flame. All of the pictures are great.
Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures of your cat and your touching story. I too have tear rolling down my face. I have had the same experience of losing a cat that was part of my life for 12 years. I will never forget her. My deepest sympathies for your loss.
