Do you still have the negatives or just the prints?
I have set up my darkroom over the past three years with three enlargers set up for color/B&W from 35mm to 4x5. I also have trays/print drums to print from 4x6 to 20x24, including my JOBO for under $500 USD.
I love digital. I love film. I love photography.
BTW, I started shooting film after starting with digital. The darkroom helps me understand the digital workflow so much better.
Where is rpavich in this discussion???
The D5100 on board flash will NOT work in Nikon's Commander mode. I ave one.
I have an SB700 and a couple Yongnuo YN685s and a matching Yongnuo radio trigger and a receiver for the SB700. The Yonguos have built in receivers and transmitters. The can be controlled from the transmitter on the camera's hot shoe.
It's a great sight to see and hear.
I have to agree. I've used them many time. My experiences with them has always been very good. I rented a camera and lens as a backup for a paid shoot recently and decided to purchase the rental. They applied the rental fees to the purchase price. I am a firm backer of Lensrental.com.
You might ask this question over on the PHOTRIO (formerly Analog Photography Users Group-APUG).
You might look for a used Sigma 50-150 f/2.8. They are no longer available new.
There were some Monte Zucker videos out there too. I need to review them and some of the others posted here.
BTW, you have received responses from some very accomplished portait photographers here.
Maybe I should convert my "parts" Beseler 23CII to a copy stand. I could then use my enlarger lenses (50mm Nikkor to 150mm Schneider).
Regarding the "Wedding Photography" section: Please come and visit! Ask questions there, please! I'm seconding Ed's suggestion because there is the place that you WILL NOT be brow beaten because you dare even think of wedding photography. Not to mention, you might ask a question that I'm too shy to ask -:).
The folks there are some of the friendliest and most helpful folks around. There are folks there with decades of experience. There are folks that are "weekend warriors" (Ed, you don't count. It might be your weekend gig, but....)
I've met some of the folks over there and my wife and I have become close personal friends .
So, stop on by!

I should have included breath control. It is the same idea as shooting.
Shooting is shooting!!!
In a prior life, I used to shoot high power rifle competitively. The breath and heartbeat control in that environment transferred directly to supporting a long lens on camera.
If we look at the "proper support of the camera," it appears to me to stem from holding the lens to focus manual focus lenses. Given this: I still sometimes get my hands/fingers in the way of the rings in auto focus mode.

... Is it worth it to take the enlarger and buy the other equipment and set up a small darkroom my house? I think I would enjoying shooting and developing film.
Where are you located. Some folks local (me for example) might be able to help you set up things.

I had almost all Beseler enlargers. The 67, 23c, 45mx and my last one is my favorite the CB-7.
Amazing, I also have a CB-7. Fantastic enlarger that I paid the pricey sum of $20 for. In the last three years I have outfitted my entire darkroom for less than $500 with two 23C IIs (one is equipped with a new/in the box color head), the CB-7, a Jobo, trays, timers for each enlarger (I actually have 6, but use only 3 enlargers-one for each format that I shoot).
