On the last page of your print order, in the lower left, is a check box; It is a "yes" or "no" to there using their color optimization. If you leave it checked yes, any changes you make in your file to correct an image they have already printed will be negated and you will get back a print just like the first one.
In other words; I had a print made and found it too dark. I made another file on my computer that was lighter. I had that printed and it was identical to the first, a too dark print. BECAUSE I did not know about the check box. Their automatic override made everything the same. When I found out about the check box, checked that I wanted the print as I had submitted the file, they got it right.

Their prints are great.

Millismote; The combination gives the "APPEARANCE" of 672mm on a crop frame sensor. A "crop sensor" is nothing more than a full frame cut down to 1.6 (Canon) of the full frame size. A 300mm plus 1.4 = is a 420mm on any size sensor. A bird of 5mm, for instance, will be the same size (5mm) on any size sensor. The "crop" sensor just eliminates the surrounding area; therefor, a "crop sensor". It has cropped the image.

My experience is the same as Swamp Gator. Great lens. The f4 is easily hand holdable.

That is a beauty. Only other one I have seen is at a feeder and no where near as beautiful as yours "in the wild".

Be advised: When using the 7D II, if you do not use the plastic connector holder that comes with the camera, and damage the camera; The warranty is VOID and a repair necessitates a replacement of the entire board. This from a Canon Rep. So, it may well be more cost effective to bite the bullet and buy the correct cords and bypass any adapters that may not be compatible with the plastic cord gizmo.

I use that lens on a 5D III and 7D II. I LOVE it. It is light enough to hand hold and especially good for BIF. I also have the 300 f4 and 1.4 tele extender. I used to prefer the IS in the later combo, but am turning IS off for BIF. So, the decision for me is, which one do I take. I like the 400 prime as it needs less PP in raw. (the only way I shoot).

I bought "New in original unopened condition" (LR 5) on eBay for $75.00. It was "for bundling with computers, digital cameras and inkjet printers only. not to be sold separately". The description on eBay did not mention this notice on box. Guess what. It will not work with access code furnished. An email to publisher...It will not work. Not offered on eBay any more. Buyer beware !

I have a BSA Red Dot scope (NOT laser) mounted on a Photo Solutions hot shoe mount made for this application if you are interested. Scope cost $45.00 and adapter $29.00. It is yours for $40.00 + postage. I have never used it. The scope is shockproof, fog proof and waterproof. Comes in original box. PM me if interested.
