I've been a Hedgehog stalker for a couple of months now. I must say that the pics you guys post are pretty intimidating. I have enjoyed shooting for years. Always had a P&S due to convenience (motorcycle trips, ATV rides, hiking etc.) and ignorance. My ignorance continues. Due to $$$ and giving consideration to the fact that I didn't know enough to justify spendiing more. I purchased a Panasonic G2 MILC. I have sooo much to learn. But I think I'm getting some decent shots. I can take it. Go ahead and tell me what you think.

My daughter has this camera. I've been impressed with the quality pics she gets with it. So much so that when I decided to take the leap from P&S. But I have gotten some decent shots with it.

Maybe I am looking at this post in completely the wrong way. But in my opinion. The point of photography (and videography) is to show rather than tell people how YOU see an object or event. (Your point of view). To elicit a reaction or emotion from the viewer. To make them feel something. I think these pictures are a perfect example of the power of photography.
These photos will allow future generations a glimpse into what it was really like at Ground Zero. There are those who will not believe something they cannot see. And in the case of the Holocaust. Some deny the reality even with photographic evidence. Words cannot convey the emotion of a photograph. No matter what your political opinions are. These photos are recorded history and do tell a story. So cudos to you for posting them. (I was out of town this wknd. or would have responded sooner.)
