A good friend asked this question and I was hoping that my UHH friends could help.

Got a photo question for you...what do you recommend for a photo sharing site? Years ago I used "Kodak Gallery" and really liked it; Shutterfly bought it and I've been using it but it keeps changing and not for the better. It is NOT intuitive and I'm ready to move on. Is Flickr better? We have been playing with Google photo but I'm not sure if that's any easier. I want something that will let me move photos around (rearrange their order), put in captions and then share the results with friends. Oh yeah, I don't want to pay for it either...any suggestions?

P900 doesn't shoot RAW. Sony rx10 shoots RAW and friends tell me they love it

I have both a Sony a6000 & a6300 and couldn't be happier. I use to use my Nikon D800 with a 28-300mm lens which is a great camera but the weight really got to me on hikes and long urban outings. The a6300 is light and the quality of the photos are comparable to the D800. I use the 18-200mm f3.5 lens as my walk around and I also use a10-18mm f3.5 lens. The ability to see the histogram and other info in the viewfinder is great and the DMF (dynamic manual focusing) is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Sony is the camera of the future and I think Nikon and Canon are falling behind because of their lack of quality mirrorless options.

Thanks for that info. We leave for the same location the 2nd week of May. What else will you be doing during your trip?

I did this trip with my brother-in-law almost six years ago. We had a blast and saw a lot of Alaska from the highways, which were in good condition. If I were to do over again, I would change a thing. I am attaching a spreadsheet of our adventure. Enjoy your trip. Gary

Thanks that was great info

We want to see Denali National Park, animal and bird life, and some interesting other parks and towns. We thought of flying into Anchorage and then renting a car. We are city folk so camping and alike are out of the question. We plan on a trip for about 12-14 days. Hope this narrows down the recommendations. Thanks again for your help.

My wife and I are planning a trip to Alaska and need some advice. How easy is it to drive and explore the state without going on a cruise? Can you recommend someone to help us with the trip?

A couple of years ago, I purchased a 18-200mm 3.5 Sony lens and I'm extremely happy with it. It is my walk around lens and can be locked in at the 18mm length.

Any recommendations of interesting places that I shouldn't miss in Buenos Aires? Also, any recommendations about shooting in Iguazu Falls? Finally, does anyone know if there is a photography club in Buenos Aires?

ON1 10 is a great addition to Lightroom. It is easy to use and the there are great YouTube videos on how to master the software. You can use it as a plug-in to Lightroom or it can be used as a separate software for photo processing. I think it is so much easier to use than Photoshop.
