One of the main disadvantages of a small sensor, IMO, is trying to shoot a decent image in low light. I decided to try one that mentioned in this forum. Now I'd like to pass on what I found it will do.

Never did I believe the company owed me more than what I was receiving. Exemplary work was rewarded with pay increases and promotions, poor work with a pink slip. If I was no longer a value to the company they had the right to replace me. When I finally retired I carried my.own health coverage until I turned 65. Companies go bankrupt covering retirees health insurance.

For the third time in five years, B&H Photo and Video is being sued by employees who say the company has denied them promotions because of race or g****r. Bronx residents Luis Santana and Carlos Marchand filed a lawsuit yesterday accusing the huge retailer of denying them promotions and raises because they are Hispanic, the Daily News reports. And their lawyer says he'll make it a class action lawsuit if more people come forward (which, considering B&H's track record, is a definite possibility).

For those at home playing the B&H discrimination drinking game, note that In 2007, B&H agreed to a $4.3 million settlement with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission after it was found Hispanic employees in its warehouses were paid less than other workers, many of whom are Orthodox Satmar Jews. And in 2010, a group of mostly former employees filed an $8 million lawsuit alleging that they were denied sales positions because of their g****r. The lead plaintiff, cashier Nakisha Cushnie, said that when she showed interest in a sales position, she was told, “I couldn't because I'm a woman. That simple. That's it." That case is still pending.

Though you are half-Jewish, you are ignorant of Jewish matters. How do you know that "most Jews have been liberals fighting for the downtrodden"? While Jews have often been in the forefront for civil liberties, do not think that "most Jews" have been there too. Next, you do not even know when Shabbos ends. Slightly after sundown on Saturday. And you do not know that B&H closes for all Jewish holidays. They make this abundantly clear on the website and do what they can to reduce any inconvenience to shoppers. Finally, your guess that "their prayers have little to do with their Hispanic workers" is blatantly anti-Semitic. You should be embarrassed and apologize for your ignorance.

I do not know who is right in this dispute but I do know that in the 40 years or so of doing business with them, they have always been ethical and exemplary. And I applaud them for their being so open about being Jewish.

We only know what we read on the Internet and the newspapers. Sensationalism sells both and unions are not always about what is best for the employee. The truth probably lies somewhere between what B&H says is true and what is reported in the news. My experiences with them have been excellent, but then again, I am dealing with professional sales people whose sole purpose is to generate sales and not the warehouse workers whose sole purpose is to meet the rigorous shipping schedules to the customer. If true, shame on B&H; if not, shame on the press and unions.

Considering the laws of today's work place, I doubt the validity of the accusation. Unless it is an extension of the Supreme Court controversy about conformity to the company owner's religious rules... birth control coverage for women in a Catholic owned business. Extending that belief in Christ is a No No!

I doubt that this goes on and it is an imaginary complaint that makes great news. Perhaps a Hispanic Gentleman wants to use the Lady's Room near to his work station. Sex discrimination? Perhaps.. The Fn button can be set to AF on or AF lock see pg 253 in Owner's Manual

The AE-L/AF-L button can be set to lock exposure while you hold it, or lock exposure until you press it a second time. see pg 256.

It appears that either of these buttons can be set for the same functions.

If C1 is "on" exposure will lock while the shutter release is pressed half way. I believe it either turns off, or should be turned off when reassigning exposure to another button. pg 236
