I'm not in the market for anything now. With a 1Ds MK II, a 1Ds MK III, a 6D and a 5D MK IV, it's unlikely that I'll be buying anything else for a while. I'm just saying, I love the 6D and don't know anything about the 6DII. In any case, when I'm ready, I never buy anything without first researching it to death.

Yes, nothing compares right now to the newest 5D, but for real estate, where it's only going on the internet, there is a point of no returns and the 6D does it as well as anything else.

Four years ago I was stuck between getting the 6D and the 5D MK III. I did my research and also talked to several people at Canon. What I was told was that they are essentially the same camera except that the 5D had more bells and whistles, (of course). But, if the finished product was no better with the 5D III, I didn't care about more focusing points, etc. I also loved the wi-fi feature in the 6D that the 5D didn't have yet. I was not sorry for the decision that cost me at least $1500 less and the 6D has worked its tailbone off for me in my real estate photography business.

The only difference I found out was the HDR processor in the 5D III. But, boy did that shine. I didn't need that feature because, on my outside shots where I used HDR, I just shot off the five shots manually and didn't use the feature in the camera.

Jump ahead four years and I have the 5D MK IV, but I still use my 6D for work. I simply love it and would/might buy the new 6DII. I find absolutely no cons with this camera. I am sure I have gotten over 200,000 clicks of the shutter and will probably get a new shutter mechanism when this finally does hit the wall. I just can't find anything bad about the 6D, and I'm sure the new upgrade will rock too.

I'm pretty sure I've read some "off" reviews about 42nd St photo in the past. You might want to read some of their reviews.

I like the return policy and buy everything from B&H. They will support your products and help you to the nth degree. That
alone is worth a few extra bucks to me.

When I used Nikon (a few lifetimes ago) the best lens they had going was their 105 1.4 portrait lens. I also had their 50 1.4, their 105 macro and a few others. I almost never took off the 105 portrait lens no matter what I was shooting. Now they make the Nikon AF-S FX NIKKOR 105mm f/1.4 ED Lens with Auto Focus. It's a $$$, but I'd bet my life it's a ***** beauty.

I was able to get my Canon camera serviced at Canon in the Netherlands when I lived there. The camera was bought in America. All I had to do was become a member of Canon Professional Services. In Europe there were three levels of membership and one of them was free. In America you can also join CPS. They will fix any Canon equipment if it hasn't become defunct. Depending on your level of memberships will determine the cost of repair and shipping. Any serious Canon shooter should look into CPS. I still have my membership in Europe, but I have the work done in America now.

Feisol CT-3472LV Elite Rapid Carbon Fiber with leveling center column. A little more money than you're specifying, but OMG ! Maybe can get a better price.

XMP files allow you to transfer your image metadata, ratings, tags, keywords, geolocation, and other attributes about the image outside of the actual JPG, CR2, or other file. The XMP format is a standard way of recording these data so that other programs can carry all of the additional data you added to your images.

If you're a hobbyist, it probably doesn't matter that much. If you're at all serious about your photography and plan to do anything other than email photos to your friends and family, they files are very helpful and take up almost no real estate on your computer or ext hard drive.

7D and not the newer II. I know several people with it and they've had no issues and use it almost everyday. If you didn't have EFS lenses, I would highly recommend the 6D, full frame and sell the EFSs. You can use your EFs and get a 6D with a kit lens like the 24-105 and pretty much be covered with a fabulous L lens and a veritable workhorse of a camera with all the auto features.

I also have the 5D IV and the 6D. The 6D is such a good camera, I would never get rid of it. It's a workhorse and I can bring it places I would not bring the 5D. But, new 6Ds go for about $1200, so I would ask half of that. Other than dropping the camera, the only important breakdownable things are the shutter wearing out and having to be replaced and the mirror function can fail, but they do and that's why I probably would not buy a used one, except maybe from an outfit like B&H who can check the "odometer" of the shutter and the condition of the mirror. If you're a hobbyist, obviously you don't need both cameras, but personally, I think it's worth more owning it than what you'd get selling it. JMHO

Adobe is very good about taking back their products unopened, if it was an honest mistake on your part or theirs. If they sent you two by mistake and only charged you for one, you should do the right thing and send it back and not try to make a fast buck on their goods. I can't imagine that you were charged twice.
