The name was changed a number of years ago from the Baltimore Zoo. It's in Druid Hill Park. I believe it's the third oldest Zoo in the country.
There was nothing there when I took the picture That's the question. Lens flare, a leaf? What is it? This is the field where I played Little League baseball. I took a number of pictures that day. It wasn't just a random picture of an empty field. This is in Leakin Park in Baltimore and it's kind of famous for dumping bodies. It was even mentioned of the HBO series "The Wire."
It was the field where I played little league baseball. I took a series of pictures that day. No other pictures had the white area like that. I've experienced lens flare before. But nothing that looked as unusual as this. I guess everything just lined up to make for a strange picture. That's a great shot you included.
Thanks for the lens flare explanation. I was curious what people that take pictures would make of this.
I took this picture two years ago and I have no explanation for what it is. I use a Canon SX10 (1/640, ISO 200 and aper 5.7). There was nothing in the field when I took the picture, but this is what I got. I'm a little hesitant to post because I don't want anyone to think that I did anything other than take a picture. This is straight from the camera. I posted on Facebook last year and it got pretty interesting. What do you think it is?
