Thank you for the replies. Sorry for poor proof read and misspelling of ornithology. Some days earlier, my wife had looked out our front window and claimed a male and female Cardinal were feeding sparrows. I arrived in time to view the feeding process but by the time I got my camera the "parents" were gone. I got a couple of shots of the juveniles but not good. This bird showed up a day or two later and looked similar to those being fed. That's what prompted the question. Burt

Can someone identify this bird. I think it is a juvenile cardinal. Any opinions? Burt

My old Canon A-1 35mm film camera, or my first camera, the Brownie. Now that's venerable.

I agree and I still have them.

I took some bird pictures on my back deck. Days latter I took the camera, using the same memory card, and went on a wildlife trip. The picture from the trip seemed to be recorded din a separate folder. when I got home the trip photos downloaded as usual, but the deck photos did not. None of the deck photos were that special so I formatted the card. The trip pictures were gone, but the deck photos remained. I repeated the process with antther nature trip. Same result. Trip photos downloaded and then were formatted off the card. The earlier deck pictures did not download and would not disappear when the card was formatted.

How is this explained? Can I totally clean the card, including the original deck photos?

Thank you for any assistance.

Did you try a low level format to clear the card? That may work.

According to my latitude and longitude, I took a picture of some rough seas while sailing from the US to Canada. Would that count as a picture with a border?

Wonderful set. Especially number two. It reminded me of "Doc's Race With The Stork" by Wooster Scott.

Nice, nice! Brought back many memories for me. Anchored for over twenty consecutive years in Presque Isle Bay while sailing to and from the North Channel.

Yes, I got the same thing. I paid for Popular Photography, not Popular Science. I will be calling and demanding a refund for the remainder of my subscription. There was no warning to this either as far as I know. So typical to today's dishonest business practices. No one can convince me that the magazine went belly up over night; it was something planned well in advance and the truth was held from us. Personally, I will find out every magazine this publisher publishes and I will never buy into a single one of their products in the future.

Got same thing. But at least they offered seven other magazines you could order in place of popular science.

Several months ago I moved from a t3i to an 80D. I am very happy. Still use the t3i with a different lens to save on lens changes. Burt

I use one OEM rotated with two 3rd party. I rotate them about every three weeks marking the date charged on the last charged battery and the next one to be used in the rotation.
