Can someone identify this bird. I think it is a juvenile cardinal. Any opinions? Burt
I don't know what it is but I am confident it is not a juvenile Cardinal. I have a couple of Cardinal families in my yard every year and the don't look like this at all.
Thank you for the replies. Sorry for poor proof read and misspelling of ornithology. Some days earlier, my wife had looked out our front window and claimed a male and female Cardinal were feeding sparrows. I arrived in time to view the feeding process but by the time I got my camera the "parents" were gone. I got a couple of shots of the juveniles but not good. This bird showed up a day or two later and looked similar to those being fed. That's what prompted the question. Burt
Doesn't look like a baby cardinal to me, badapple, but it's a good shot!
