Might be a dumb question (but I do not know the answer) on my part . . will this batch rename include the Raw files too?
I shoot RAW and JPG
Thanks

Dave

You can rename with windows explorer as suggested above "Trip to Florida 2017" Just select all in the directory you want to rename..rename the first one.Using what is in parentheses a number will be added to each as it renames them..what you will get is "Trip to Florida 2017 (1)" The number in parentheses will increase by one till the end. This includes ALL files in the directory. It will do each file type separate.

Either cut your own or print slightly smaller so the matt does not hide any print?

If you already have a good trippod, just get a ball head for it.

Gotta say go with LR....You can do so much with it, and if you find something you can't do, it allows you to send the file to another program like PS and back......Great program and cheap. I have not used Affinity, but I did used to use Serif stuff before affinity.

I believe Lightroom Mobile is no longer available as a stand-alone item. Instead it may only be obtained as part of the Lightroom/Photoshop CC subscription plan (otherwise known as the Adobe "annuity" plan). Don't overlook On1 Photo Raw and MacPhun Luminar as choices. /Ralph

It is still available as a stand alone for phone. Unless it went away in the last few days.

While I can't tell from photo on Ebay I can certainly tell if a SB-700 is real or fake if I have it in my hands. I don't think anyone can make a fake SB-700 that looks like the real thing for $35.

The pictures and data is exactly what is on Nikons site.....But like you say, when in had we'll know......and they are backed up by Ebay...we'll see...I do know the Neewer is good.....

I also just ordered Neewer. They have very good ratings on the net. You do know you can get a Nikon SB-700 form overseas for about $35 NEW. Nikon want $300 for it. And if it isn't the real thing, ebay will refund the money. I may order one for extra. The neewer is comparable to the Nikon SB-700.

So, I guess the prime lenses do not come with VR, or that I could find anyway. I was hoping for a fast lens that was tack sharp or pretty darned close. So far I am not finding it with this lens. Maybe I just need to get used to using it, since it is smaller than my 18-140 that I am used to using.

Some come with VR some do not. If that is a priority, make sure the lens has it if that is a priority. You have a good lens... Take a shot at each f stop from the same distance, then compare side by side. You will be able to see where the sweet spot is. Remember a fast lens just has a smaller f stop to let in more light, but also gives a shallow DOF or less in focus.

Did you have an approved card.... I assume you did if they stayed on the phone with you. Glad you finally got it done.

It looks to me like its the DOF not shutter speed. Use a smaller F stop.

[quote=pgerardi]Hi, I noticed that there was an update for my D5300 and decided to install.Twice I downloaded & tried to install but the camera does not recognize the file on the card. Did not want to proceed beyond that for fear that I might do more damage than good. Below are the steps I took:

Format card in camera
Downloaded file onto my Mac
Copied to card (yes to the root directory of the card)
Ejected card from Mac
Inserted card in camera & then turned on
Went to firmware version - did not get notification of update available

That's where I left it,as I said did go any further. Didn't want to take any chances of doing any harm.

You are almost right....I just updated my D3300 but they are almost the same except for file name extension.

I just updated my D3300 It is Easy, but you need to follow the directions to the tee. And You MUST use an approved card. Here is a link to the updates http://downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/products/21/D3300.html There are two updates, one for the camera and the lens update to support the AF-P. 3. Run F-D5300-V101W.dmg to extract the following file to a folder named “D5300Update”:
• D5300_0101.bin (the camera firmware)
4. Using a card slot or card reader, copy “D5300_0101.bin” to a memory card that has been formatted in the camera.
5. Insert the memory card into the camera memory card slot and turn the camera on.
6. Select Firmware version in the SETUP MENU and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update.
