It's got a lot of detail Ed , keep it and add to it, next time shoot 2 sets of sequences "Core data and outer areas" I believe you'll be pleased with the results. I'm still adding to mine and one day I'll have a finished image.

It's an 8 in Orion astrograph f4.9 / Newtonian , that's the Poman's rig with a modded old meade lxd55 goto / GPS mount . They make them with the motors and wires enclosed inside but, those cost over $1500 for the Orion Atlas mount and a lot more.

I got my better half to indulge and , man I love it.

I enjoy the challenge that comes with all of this astronomy / astrophotography equipment. I'm always looking for a better way to mod or configure something.

I got everything off the ground haven't been out to finish with the cams hooked up but, I think it's a step in the right direction . If not , I've added some more Velcro strips to the legs . I added my 6 outlet power outlet , 5lb. weight and maybe I'll shroud the bottom of the tripod . Cosmo my youngest is ready to playball , ya think?

Sonny , thanks so much for taking the time to explain everything about your imaging setup and wire management. I've been working on this and changing it around for some time , I'm going to reconfigure the wiring and incorporate some of your ideas with Alanna's help and try to clean up the dangling wires. All weekend rain so no testing until next week but, that gives me some time to do a clean up on all my equipment and cables. I've got many xtra cables , that something has to fit for this project .

Dang Sonny , that's why you can carry it in. As for the cord wrap , that is the way to do it , with all my cables wrapped around the legs . I've got a bunch of twist ties , I'm just waiting until I get a comfortable setup . I've change it too many times for one reason or another. I do need to leave the extension on the hub so I can move my laptop around the mount. You've given me some really good visual ideas. Thanks Buddy, I had a real good night tonight less than 5 arc sec .PA and spot on with both cameras Woohoo. I've got 1 more night before rain again. I've worked really hard to get this done, that polemaster is the real deal and as long as I don't move or kick it{which I do frequently} I 'll cut out 4 steps and get PA in less than 5 min. I'm off to get a huge garbage can to cover as much of the tripod . I'm thinking on running everything down under to the ep tray and that way I can move my imaging cart around the mount and that leaves the telescope control cord from the handpad , I'm thinking on that .

Yes Europa you're not the fist that's suggested removing the trees, I just can't win that fight , wires and cables is a work in progress and looking for suggestions. I move the imaging cart around the tripod so I can view the laptop when my EFW changes filters, focus changes with each filter change . I place my guider cables up around the lock on the dovetail saddle and the camera goes under the ota through a neoprene tube under the OTA all into the hub . I have the powercord for the hub and the computer connected to a seperate power supply , the mount has its own extension cord and the camera's fan goes to the battery dual outlet and my 909 clone dangles because it talks to the mount like an st4 adapter . What do I need to fix and how should I do it ? I'm just not getting it done right.

I might as well show my image rig so yall could give me advice on anything I need to change or modify , feel free to critique my po'man rig. Note my camera's isn't connected in the 1st pic I just got done doing my PA with the polemaster.

I'll be calling today , I had run a decent test last night after getting my power issues under control. I'm using a 7 port power hub and I have so many cords and I was trying a shorter usb to power the cameras and it just didn't cut the mustard , I spent a good hour before dusk trying to figure it out . New additions have put a wrench in my worX but, when I came back out after dusk , I was on a mission and everything is working like a dream and I tried to guide , my Dec wasn't cooperating enough for imaging, it would go sharp around 2 and drop -2 every other section on the Phd2 graph. Framing after I get my target is something on my "to do" list along with plate solve and everything else. I'm so wanting to get going on this Ed , this is an Awesome capture software with "Bells and Whistles" and has more tools that I haven't a clue as to how to work them.

I had everything setup and ready to go 3 hrs. before dusk and couldn't get my cameras to work . I pondered the thought that I forgot a step but, that wasn't it. I had put to much draw on }1} of the power cords got my battery and hooked up the dual outlet and away I went . Loaded and collimated and in I went to watch a lil' Coll. ball. When it was dark connected the PM and ran a easy align and viola hooked stellarium up and centered , connected my auto guider and spent a couple of hours guiding but, wasn't quite good enough for imaging with my dec having too many errors. Started up SGpro and set up a test sequence connected my equipment and I was off just a tad , tried figuring out the framing and that's when frustration hit. I guess I need to watch more youtube video's and hopefully get some advice and pointers from you HOGS anyway everything is working and I kept a couple 1s TEST frames for "S&G "surprised that that was it { TEXTBOOK}.
