I found the remains of this old truck in a overgrown field near Auburn, Washington, just rotting away. I removed the majority of the color for reasons that I forget.
Whoa! How nice!!! Did you have to do any manipulations to the photo or is it as seen? Either way, good eye and work.
Dang! I'd say you nailed that shot! Stunning work.
Wow! Such a nice, commanding photo! I love the contrast of the subdued colors and that stark contrast of the lighthouse and reflection on the water. I'd say it's a keeper.
This photo is one of four taken at the Amtrak station in Auburn, Wa. There was a high, moonless overcast which lead to the high contrast.
This photo was taken just north of the small town of Thorp, along the old highway leading to Roslyn and Cle Elem. The existing drab sky was replaced from another photo taken in northern Arizona.
I took this shot using a 40mm macro lens. Although is has a rather soft appearance, that was not my goal. Be that as it may, I like the outcome.
Yes, that is Mt. Rainier. The shot was take from just outside the small town of Buckley as the sun was setting.
Welcome. I just joined too and am still feeling my way around.

Although it was a very colorful photo, I felt is was simply screaming to be converted to b&w.
Very nice! A simple composition and bold colors can never go wrong. Good work.
Though my main interest is in b&w, I still enjoy a beautiful flower.
I am really quite new here and am feeling my way around. Attached are two photos. Can I attach more than one per post? Guess I'll try.

Nice photo and good use of the aperture for depth control. Striking colors, I might add.
Hello all. My name is Ken, from the Puget Sound region of Washington. I just recently returned to photography after a long, long absence, mostly due to raising a family and such. I'm now retired after working in the water utility field for 30 years and then working as a water/wastewater utility inspector for an additional 9 years. Anyway, with all the changes to digital equipment and software, my learning curve is still at hand, though lessening as time goes by. I am currently using two Nikon dslr cameral (entry level) and Photoshop Elements software. My interest lies mostly in black and white, though will gladly shoot color is is commanding. I've attached only one photo as I am not sure if I can attach more than on at a time. Bye for now. I'll be checking in each day and looking forward to the next contest. Ken
