I use LR4 to import my raw files. If I want a Black and White I make a virtual copy and then use the LR B&W tools which I think are awesome. Export as a JPG when finished. LR assigns a unique name to the virtual copy and you still have the original raw file to go back to.

My wife has 8 brothers and sisters that live in Australia. We visit often from the US. I am very impressed with the health care system there. I have often wondered why it was not used as a model for universal health care here in the US instead of the Romney model. I suspect a lot of behind the scenes lobbying and misinformation.

I shoot in RAW, convert to DNG with lightroom and export JPG to the same folder. In Picasa all the DNG photos have the black bars. I sort the folders by name which puts all the JPG's first and makes it easy to export the JPG's to the web.

The United States was the first country to concertedly undertake compulsory sterilization programs for the purpose of eugenics. The heads of the program were avid believers in eugenics and frequently argued for their program. It was shut down due to ethical problems. The principal targets of the American program were the mentally retarded and the mentally ill, but also targeted under many state laws were the deaf, the blind, people with epilepsy, and the physically deformed. According to the activist Angela Davis, Native Americans, as well as African-American women were sterilized against their will in many states, often without their knowledge while they were in a hospital for other reasons (e.g. childbirth). Some sterilizations took place in prisons and other penal institutions, targeting criminality, but they were in the relative minority. In the end, over 65,000 individuals were sterilized in 33 states under state compulsory sterilization programs in the United States.

You made an interesting suggestion worth giving thought to, then you lost all credibility by calling Obama a gay Muslim.

He was born a Muslim and raised one. He went to Islamic schools, has never renounced Islam and celebrated the end of Ramadan in the White House. Has claimed that the call to prayer is the sweetest sound on earth. He stands up and defends gay marriage and the homosexual lifestyle. Remember, the Islamic way is to lie if it furthers their cause, which is to take over and remove all infidels. Hey, I may be wrong, but I seriously don't think so. In my world, one plus one still equals two.

Let's see if I got this right.

Some kids who go to Harvard have learned that the Sun causes seasons on earth and that is why we have hurricanes that are guided by political whims of the gay marxist president who never listens to a talk show host named Rush, who thinks FEMA is going to attack the city of Tampa, or maybe New Orleans. Then we will send a whole lot of money to Haiti and Cuba where people live in tents because they are communists, but they are really Democratic pawns. But Palin and Ryan will form a third party and steal the election and declare Marshall law with Genl. Petraeus, who will exile Holder to Chicago, because the seasons will cause a big snow storm there at the same time an earthquake attacks California.

You nailed it. Do not forget everyone is CA is a crazy gay commie Muslim, Atheist, illegal alien liberal.

I just learned some great memory tricks, but I can not find where I put my notes.

I have used the Nikon 10-24 for over a year now and find I use it a lot. I sometimes challenge myself to only take the 10-24 and leave the telephoto at home. I find when I do that I get some very creative shots. I also have the Tamron 18-270 and love the range and versatility and am happy with it most of the time, but it is not as "sharp" as I would like at times. Will keep reading these post and may get another Nikon lens. Some many lenses, so little time.

I think back to my film days, when I had the standard 50mm and a 135mm, and I seemed to function just fine. :D

My boss got the lens, used it on an African safari and was very pleased with it. I bought it and have used it a lot for several months. It is very sharp and the VR is excellent. The only problem I have is zoom extension when you check the monitor after a shot. It creeps up to the max zoom very easily. There is a lock, but that is just for the 18mm setting.

I use it a lot with my Nikon D7000. I am pleased. It has become second nature to lock and unlock the lens as needed. I bought a rubber band creep aid and found it useless. Like I said the lock solves the creep problem if you make it a habit. By the way I like the lens.
