I am a Nikon owner but I love to hear positive stories on good service provided. Nowadays good service is rare. What many repair shops don't understand is that customers don't like getting the runaround on something that is important to you. Your stuff, be it a camera, car or whatever. Tell me can you fix it, how much is it going to cost, and when will the repair be complete.

This 1,000mm lens will be going up for auction. It's the only one ever made, so don't look online to see what others have sold for.

I explored this link even more and stumbled on Canon's 5200mm, 1:14 lens in Japan. So large it appears you need a forklift to move it. Only 3 exist.

Go to grocery store and buy a box of very large zip lock clear bags , cut to fit and tape. Or drape around a Dry Cleaners clear clothing bag.

Everyone knows about the boy toddler who was snatched by an alligator and drowned. Now Disney is putting up new warning signs and fences, to assure this does not happen again. Previous visitors in the past from everywhere, said they have seen alligators nearby the shoreline. One even reported it to Management. My friend says that Disney may be getting lawyers to defend its practices before the tragedy occurred. The best thing for Disney to do is to settle quickly with the parents on this matter. Their family image and reputation depends on it.

Russia is not the only country doing this. American Track and Field female Olympian, Marion Jones of the 2000 Sydney, Australia Olympics, was stripped of 3 gold medals and two bronze medals because of doping. She was America's sweetheart then. And was the eye opener for cheating in Track and Field events. Both men and women. Jamaican women too were busted.

Microsnot regrets the control people have over the OS on their own computers and is slowly taking that control back. I regret allowing Win10 to assimilate my computer - but it is too late to undo it - - you only have 30 days to go back. Win 7 was a great OS. Win10 works well - - but YOU can't control what it does or when it does it. You get the updates whether you want them or not.

IF you are on the fence and Microsnot keeps pushing Win10 on you - - I HIGHLY recommend you download Steve Gibson's Never10 from GRC research:
http://www.grc.com/never10.htm
This will REMOVE up to 6.5 GB of installation files Microsnot has likely already pushed onto your HDD, and will BLOCK Microsnot attempts to hijack your computer with Win10.

I have nothing against Windows 10. I was only suggesting those that don't want it. 50% of the entire world. You can keep Windows 7 if you prefer. However, there have been complaints of Windows 10 being automatically upgraded against one's wishes. The info you provided will benefit them. I'm upset because I can't take advantage of the Windows 10 freebie upgrade on my backup laptop with Vista OS. Not eligible for free Windows 10 upgrade. Unfortunately.

The Canon T6i and Nikon D5500 are similar in many ways. As a Nikon owner I do sympathize with the Nikon. Just as Canon owners sympathize with Canon. The Nikon D5500 is the best of 5xxx series camera with IQ as good as the Nikon D7100. You can now buy a refurbished D5500 with an 18-55mm VRII from Nikon USA for $700.

Very entertaining dance. I loved it. Father and daughter visiting Italy. The article never stated where they were from? Thanks for sharing.

Windows 10 free OS upgrade was a surprise to me. I remember the cost of a Windows 7 upgrade disc in late 2009 was about $100. Computers with Windows Vista were left out on the freebie to Windows 10. My backup laptop has Vista. Windows Vista will be losing all Microsoft Support in a year, just as XP in 2014. Windows 7 is still being used by 50% of computers worldwide. People refusing to upgrade. And Microsoft is none too happy about it.

Pets!?!?!

I live in Southeast Tennessee and a couple times a year a pack of coyotes take down a calf or weakened cow.

If you don't live in a city, your allowed to shoot them on sight! (I'm talking about with a gun not camera.)

Wow, that is something. Sounds like a pack of wolves or African wild dogs. I've only seen lone coyotes. Bobcats are a nuisance here too.

Coyotes are commonplace in the southwest. I see them everywhere. They like small pets. They will dig under a backyard fence and get your pet. And not always rural communities. You check on your pet, gone. First time for me seeing photos of a coyote pup or a live one, which makes this all more interesting.

Auto is letting the brain in the camera decide for you, instead of using your brain. Nothing shameful, because once you master your camera, you can experiment on your own, to get better images than Auto. Remember you have a delete button on your camera. I still use it sometimes.
