If all original (matching numbers) that's a 265 cu.in. The 283 started production in '57. Very cool - lots of original stuff.

Chevy - started with 265 cu.in. - then 283, 327, 350. Many consider the 327 the most durable of the small blocks. Perfect square - equal bore & stroke. Big blocks 348 & 409.
289 was Ford.

A annual cleaning usually includes changing the nozzle, replacing / adjusting the igniter if worn, changing the fuel oil filter, vacuming out accumulated sot and checking for any leaks. That's worth at least $150 to 200. You had no breakdowns because the burner has been well maintained. Stay with it.
You live in NY and only $200 for oil - you must live in a pretty efficient home. Good deal!

You obviously did not join UHH to discuss or comment on photography. I hope you get taken off.

I'm new to UHH too. Your options don't make much sense. Stay bulky or go light for travel. Yup, I got a canon with 3 lenses, but it's basically hang around the house /local. I'm 70 and still working and I need a camera and lens for project shots (canon 10 to18mm). For travel I am very seriously looking at a bridge camera, specifically a Sony RX10 III. A 24 to 600 mm lens will cover anything I want to shoot. If you are serious about cutting down bulk mirrorless is the way to go and I'll probably get a some push back on that statement. Best of both worlds: come down a bit and replace your tired 7d body with say a 80D for $1000 and then get a bridge camera for travel.
A shout out to all the hogs that post - It is why I'm here. Your knowledge and posted links are very helpful in educating me in the digital photography world.

Start with paper. Size: 8 x 10 with a a few 5 x 7 and offer larger if they what to pay (if digitally possible without loss of quality). Are these high end shows? Most people what to buy and take it home and hang. I'd look for a frame & mat source and sell some prints ready to go. Signature: very small tight in the lower corner or just stamp the back. Numbering: Who cares? Come on, most arts & crafts fairs are one step above a flea market so don't get too carried away until you find out if the effort is worth the reward of dollars or enjoyment for you.

Yup, I'm a construction guy for 47 years with a lot of years welding. Looked at the sun thru a #10 Gold many times and some partial eclipses with not effect to my vision. To interested hogs you can probably get one at any good welding supply - Air Gas or Linde. OR you don't have to go anywhere - Amazon (search welding lens) a #10 gold / 4 1/2 x 5 1/4 is $16.89.

Checked Peterson Eastern Birds and I agree with previous posts - immature Red-Tailed. Young hawks can be confusing!

Sure you can, but cost can be substantial. I'm also thinking about the all the people all over the world that run photo / safari tours. This mess has got to be a real kink in their livelihoods.

Mtnman - you put the blame for the problem exactly where it belongs; with the airlines. Before the terrorists acts & threats, before the TSA, the airlines drove customers to carry-on with lost, misdirected and slow baggage service. On a recent trip from Atlanta to Denver it took Frontier 56 min to get bags to customers. I had a point & shoot stolen from my bag on another trip (former AirTran). Over the years both my wife and I have had bags not arrive at a destination with us. Damage from rough handling- that too. Now, we travel lite and it stays with us.

Solution: Currently, the explosive detection equipment is back or down in the checked baggage lines. Install some at the carry-on lines. Not every passenger is traveling with multiple electronic devises. If I had to arrive another 30 min earlier to sent a bag through that equipment - no problem.
I admit that this is a worldwide problem and probably will not happen anytime soon.

Outcry: My congressman & senators are getting emails today.
