I've never seen these birds before I moved to Ramona, Ca. They feed from my bird feeder on my patio. When the feeder is empty they sit in the tree and give that single piercing sound until I fill up the feeder.
Yes it is. I used to drive that route every year back and forth to Chicago from San Diego. I have thousands of photos on the road I have to sort through.
Not sure if I should have put that photo on your post. Wasn't my intention detract from your photos.
One of my night shots with a photo group.
Take separate vacations together.
No, forgot all about that. I know about shutting that off but I always forget to do that.
That's what I did. Manual focus on the two opposing yellow flowers. What I did was use f2.8 and a 1/2000 shutter speed to try and freeze the wings. I bought a speed light and I'm going to see how that works. With the light I should be able to stop down the aperture and get a bigger depth of field and more chance of sharper focus. I didn't try auto servo mode and the next time I will use that. I have a wireless remote and I was taking multiple bursts of shots up to 25 a burst. At first I was shooting single shot but those little suckers are too fast for that.
I have photos with 3 birds buzzing around the feeder but are too blurred. I think I have finally figured out how to use the auto focusing on the 7D mark 11 and one of these days I'll try it out.
38 years of Chicago snow and it looks much better in pictures sitting here in Ramona, Ca.
what camera? And you took it zoomed in at 200? Nice first try. Mine was no where near that.
You can barely see those colors in the water with the naked eye, but with a long exposure it accumulates the colors. People have asked me if I photo shopped those in but that's the way it comes out of the camera.
This was on my patio last year.
Yes the horizon is slanted and I forgot to straighten it. I took that last year and I have it hanging on my wall 16 by 48.
