Well a polarizer reduces glare. That the same thing a hood does ....so why use both , unless you are shooting almost directly into the sun ???

A polarizer reduces reflective light but can do very little against lateral light that creates 'flare' (incidental light that enters from an unexpected angle and is prominently displayed under the form of your camera iris.
This flare can be wanted for artistic purposes but is usually avoided like the plague.

How do you make your own hoods?

Catalog like shot.

Nicely done, I can see
1 ) wine name, price
2 ) glass A, price
3 ) glass B, price
4 ) bottle opener, price

A a Joke you should little number or a letter next to each item.

I really didn't think about the reflections in the glasses so I will probably try to reshoot to see if I can correct it

Note (yes there is one) too many reflections in the glasses. In a minimalist shot like this, this is distracting.

Otherwise, well done.

This is a saw whet owl that my son caught one night and brought in the house. Well, he got loose in the house and I chased him around with my camera until he landed for awhile. He was interested in the sound that my flash was making and held still just long enough to get this shot.

Gorgeous shot! Stunning
