Yes everyone is entitled to their beliefs. They are not entitled to force them on others. Life is short and as I look at my aging dog beside me I know their lives are far too short and have no respect for anyone whose aim is to take that companionship away. You may not want to acknowledge what is going on but the tentacles go far past wanting to ban hunting.

I wish you well but I also wish you had a grasp of the bigger picture.

Aloha,

I mispoke. Or rather did not write clear. I should have stated that I could provide all kinds of reliable web sites links and you probably would still not see how your sentence contradicts.

Also, I do not care what you think of me. I only spoke for I realized I made a mistake with my writing.

Anyway, let get back to the original post. Anyone else has any feedback to this original post, please?

I use the Merlin Bird ID app as well and I don't think it's a broad-billed hummingbird. The ID shows all variants with the exception of the immature female as having an orange/reddish color at the base of their bill. Your photo does not show this. And the colors of the immature female don't match your photo. The closest ID I can come up with is the Cuban Emerald but I'm not sure if the range of the Cuban reaches to the Southwest. This is a tricky one for sure!!

According to this site:
http://sites.psu.edu/birdsofcuba/birds-of-cuba/cuban-emerald/

The cuban emerald does not travel. It does look the bird.

I use the apps to learn bird sounds and pronunciation.Otherwise, I prefer books. Regardless, I see it time to look at other apps. Only because I want to see if there an app that explains the differences without costing a fortune.
