Oh Sunny, bless you and thanks for responding and I am glad that you are alright.

I pray for your family and in particular your sister-in-law who has a lot on her plate and may she keep safe. You are obviously a very close nit family and I admire that.

Yes, we are in lockdown here in the UK. It is frightening. I look out of my window and there are cars and vans in the drives of the home which are only there at the weekends but now, of course, they are all staying at home unless their work is essential.

I am lucky as I live in a village and the best thing about village life there is more of a community spirit and my neighbours are doing my shopping as I shouldn't go out for 3 weeks being 71, although I am not in the vulnerable age group. There is also a voluntary service set up for each street in the village with a name and telephone number of who will do our shopping if needed and leaflets were posted through our letterboxes.

The government has also set up a voluntary service for those in the "at-risk category" who received a list from their doctor informing them to stay indoors so they will be looked after with regards to their shopping and collection of medication.

Other people are allowed to go out for exercise once a day only and to walk their dog but they are to keep their distance. By encouraging so many of us to self-isolate we will not be infected and therefore our hospitals will not be overloaded. Children are not even meeting with their elderly parents even if they are doing their shopping and they are leaving the shopping on the doorstep. I know for a fact that this is true as my friend told me that is what her daughter does, so yes we are taking these precautions seriously.

I am surprised at how quickly things are moving and our government is doing the best it can and people are staying in. Police now have emergency powers to stop vehicles and question people as to whether their journey out is necessary and to ask groups of people to go indoors.

I wish you and your family well and I too pray for all of the people worldwide that we keep the number of deaths as low as possible and hopefully, a vaccine in the not too distant future for this dreadful virus.

Dare I say have a nice day? I hope so.

The most informative, clear, concise, no-nonsense, no P-C crap, 37 minutes (well worth it) on C****-** by a brilliant infectious disease South Korean specialist and professor, Dr. Kim Woo-Ju.

South Koreans have dealt with different c****av***s in the past such as SARS and MERS. This time around, they are more prepared to deal with new strain of c****av***s, the SARS-CoV-2, the one that is causing the current worldwide p******c, C****-**.

This a must-watch for everyone.

Watching Nextflix movies, series, etc. getting boring and monotonous during the social distancing period? This will be a great alternative. Approximately 37 minutes with subtitle.

21 years old. Young, healthy with no care in the world, invincible. COVID19 who? Bring it on. Most likely the virus is no match for him and he then live happily ever after.

Coming home to elderly grandparents. He infects them with COVID19. Virus outmatches them and no more happy days for them.

Young and invincible? Hmm...CDC are seeing more cases young adults (20-44 years old) being hospitalized from coronavirus with 5% of them requiring ICU admissions.

To this guy and the others like him, I have no sympathy for you. To his parents, good for you.

What has happened to Sunnely? Is he/she laid low with the virus?

Hi Heather,

Thanks for asking about me. I hope you are doing fine in your neck of the wood (Somerset, UK). I understand you are under national lockdown which may last up to 6 months according to the deputy medical officer. PM Boris Johnson is infected with COVID-19; there is a shortage of ventilators although Rolls Royce and other companies will start manufacturing them. The UK number in cases and deaths continue to rise. As of now in the UK, there are 19,522 cases with 2,433 new cases and 1,228 deaths with 209 new deaths. I hope that things get better for UK, US, and the world, soon. As or me, I am doing fine considering what's going on in the world.

I decided to take a self-imposed isolation for now from posting about the coronavirus. It is beginning to affect me psychologically because of what is happening not only in the world and US in general, but in the epicenter of the outbreak in US (New York and New Jersey).

See, my immediate family (brother, sister, cousins) all reside right in the 2 hottest spots of coronavirus outbreak in the US. My sister and 3 cousins who are all in their 70s live in NY just the outskirt of the city but in the county with one of the highest numbers of coronavirus cases and deaths. They all have underlying medical conditions from heart condition, blood disorder, to being immune suppressed due to chemotherapy. They’re all anxious and scared. Another cousin (4th cousin), the youngest and healthier one, who lives in another municipality in NY does all the grocery shopping and other errands for them.

In the neighboring state, New Jersey, another hotspot, my brother and his family live. He has 2 kids and the younger one has severe autism. He and the kids stay home per order, but his wife works as nurse in a local hospital, must go out. She is an essential and a front-line health care worker. She is afraid of contracting the virus and bringing it home. They are all worried and scared and I am, too.

Facetime allows us to communicate with each other, a very much welcome good news.

You take care. Stay home and stay safe.

OK, I am biased towards Ms Crissy Becker and the rest of the truck drivers because my grandson is also a truck driver. And he's darn proud of it.

Please give Nick a special shout out and I'll relay the message when I see him. He is trying to stay away from us as he doesn't want to infect his grandparents in case he catches the virus.

Remember, if they stop, the world stops.

Thanks.

Whatever works. Better than going out in the crowd wearing nothing.

You'll never know which direction the wind might blow.

Not trying to make light of the situation. Just trying to brighten up your day during this trying times.

Take care guys.

Update COVID-19 March 22, 2020

Nothing good to report. The curve is still tracing Italy's trajectory. I guess will find out more by the end of next if our effort is paying off (some sign of bending downward).

Here's the link (2 min, no music): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMpsWO3ezJM

It's not happening yet here in Phoenix. The line wrapped all around the building. (Costco)

Was this photo taken today, Sunday, March 22? Not good?

First, I believe the mayor of Phoenix has declared state of emergency in the city a couple days ago.

Second, as of this writing, there are 152 cases in state of Arizona (81 in Maricopa County with the most) but so far today, the count in the newly confirmed cases is already 44 and rising. A second death from coronavirus was just reported.

Third, probably minor but not funny, police still searching for the man who allegedly stole 29 unused coronavirus test kits from an AZ medical center.

This virus is contagious. STAY HOME and save lives.
